I'm often loathe to write reviews of my favourite places as I'm always worried about their future availability for me to revisit but the Nether Abbey deserves a review. We were a party of 8 staying for 3 nights on a golf trip. Everything about our stay was absolutely superb (and that was the opinion of the entire party) -... More

This sweet, petite hotel on the Lothian coast has 10 large rooms that are appointed with nice amenities like fluffy robes, slippers and Bath and Bodyworks peppermint foot lotion. Tariff includes a huge, made to order breakfast. Rooms on the rear of the building have views of the water. The family owned and operated hotel provides a welcoming stay that... More

Arrived at 2.00 pm, room not ready....had to wait in small reception area for half an hour......Once In room had to request towels............ Down for breakfast and instead of being seated in dining room which was almost empty, we were given a table next to the front door, from where, during breakfast, we were asked to move our seats to... Just been here for 2nd lunch but still problems. We ordered drinks and they arrived quite quickly but nobody wanted to take food order. I had to go to bar and order. The main course came quite quickly as well then we felt abandoned again as I had to wave arms before someone came back to us, my mother wanted... More

Had a really pleasant overnight stay and was very impressed by friendly and competant staff and the quality of the accomodation. Its very traditional victorian north berwick hotel that has been modernised to a high quality and tastfull standard. Its convienant for the town and would suit golfers and families. I particularly enjoyed the scottish breakfast.

Our party of 12 golfers recently stayed at Nether Abbey and were very impressed with the welcome we received. The hotel is ideally located for visiting the many superb golf courses in east Lothian. The staff were extremely helpful, especially Jela, which made our stay so enjoyable. Great hotel and excellent food. We will definitely return - highly recommended.

Every home comfort can be found at this hotel. Just a short distance from the station. A local showed me the way. I don't think I would've found it right away on my own. I only stayed one night. The bed was plush and comfy. I had a fantastic sleep. I didn't have dinner here as I arrived late but... More

Had an excellent stay here last weekend, albeit only the one night. I was told by the manager on the phone that it was the biggest room and it definitely was! Room 1 was big and airey, very spacious for our family of 4, with sea views over to Fife. Breakfast in the morning was excellent as was the service... More

Booked a room for family members during a special birthday and needed some 'extra' attention to ensure all went well. The staff could not have been more helpful, arranging a lovely room, some champagne and some other goodies. We met in the busy buzzy bar restaurant for some supper and enjoyed fresh local lobster - which was served with a... More
