We always enjoy having lunch at the Lifeboat, the food is consistently excellent and only ever cooked from fresh local produce.Sue doesn't know the meaning of reheating unlike many a gastro Pub ! Always a warm welcome, a home from home on the coast.

We had a lovely weekend. Nice owners. Apparently it has been recently refurbished and is with new management. Good food and friendly staff. Wells is a really lovely seaside area and we particularly enjoyed exploring the town and surrounding coastline.

Very basic hotel and décor tired , friendly staff ,good breakfast ,how ever most of the hotel rooms at the lifeboat are used by working staff from OTHER hotels and restaurants in the area who arrive back at the lifeboat after midnight and the noise starts.

Friendly owners made us feel really welcome. Rooms are a bit old fashioned but clean and tidy with all that you need. Our 3 children were made to feel really welcome. Location is great and within easy walking distance of the main shopping street, the harbour, park and the Buttlands.

We travelled to Wells for our friends hen weekend and we booked The Lifeboat due to its location and price. Sarah and Phil were very accommodating and friendly. The location was perfect for our needs within walking distance of every amenity in Wells. The rooms were clean and very good value for money. Thanks for a great stay.

We booked two single rooms with showers and were more than happy with what we got for our money. If you want 5* luxury then this isn't for you but if you want a decent room with a great breakfast for a very competitive price, then I don't think you can go wrong.

We were up in Norfolk for a couple of days bird watching. We did not want to spend a fortune, we just needed somewhere clean, warm and comfortable to sleep and the Lifeboat provided that. It is slighted dated, but that said, rooms were fine, most importantly clean and warm which was welcome having been out since dawn bird watching.... More

Not recommended - not very clean, dated, swirly carpets and grubby window sills. I'm sure owners are well intended but need to get out and about and see what "good" looks like in a b&b in 2014! Agree with other reviewers that breakfast large but that didn't really redeem the place for me.

As a family of three with a two year old daughter many b&bs in Wells couldn't accommodate us. Phil and Sarah could not have made us feel more welcome. It was a home from home experience. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfasts are huge and well cooked. If you're looking for a cosy place in a convenient location,... More

Didn't need bed and breakfast as we were a party of nine visiting Wells by boat but we were shocked by the queues for fish and chips on the front and were looking for an alternative as we were hungry. Our hosts were welcoming and found tables for us all even though they had a large table reserved. Delicious food,... More
