We spent one night at the Merchants House and it was certainly a comfortable and enjoyable stay. A lovely guest house in a great spot from which to explore the north Norfolk coastline. Liz and Dennis made us feel completely at home. The room was comfortable with a heavenly bed, crisp linen and coffee and tea making facilities. The room... More

Just returned from three nights at Merchant House. One of the best B & B we have stayed in. Liz and Dennis do everything to make sure you have a wonderful stay. The breakfast is excellent, freshly cooked by Liz, nicely presented and served by Dennis who also makes the bread. Dennis relays his excellent knowledge of the area to... More

Stayed here for 2 days over the bank holiday in a very comfortable 4 poster bedroom. The bed was very comfortable and the room was well equipped and traditionally decorated in the style and period of the house. The bathroom, which is for sole use only, is across from the bedroom and has a good qaulity shower and bath for... More

We stayed for two days in March, and felt we were with friends. The four-poster bed, with its crisp white sheets and feather pillows, was one of the most comfortable beds I've slept in, breakfast was a treat, and with the house being opposite the Crab Cafe, we ate well! Our short break here just wasn't long enough. Well definitely... More

We spent two nights in the four poster room. When we booked we had the option and were pleased with our choice. The room is slightly larger and probably has better views across the playing fields and marshes to the coastal ridge. The large separate bathroom (10 feet down the hall) with bath and a good sized shower was no... More

From the extraordinary setting to the friendly welcome, there wasn't a disappointment to be had. A beautiful room with an incredibly comfy bed - fantastic pillows and a very soft duvet - together with a delicious breakfast and a short walk to the beach. Don't forget to ask for the code for a free drink at The Crown!

Telephoned to book rooms, and helpfully received maps and information by post about the area. Were welcomed very politely by Liz and Dennis - have never met a couple so friendly, enthusiastic, interested and passionate about the area and their guests! My husband and I had the four-poster room which had the most comfortable bed and pillows and lovely bedding,... More

We had a fabulous weekend and were made to feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble and the breakfast was amazing. We felt thoroughly spoilt! Stayed in the four poster room and would stay again in a heartbeat. Thank you!
