I'm amazed - and a little bit suspicious - of anyone that could have anything negative to say on here about the Brovey Lair experience. The food is quite simply the best I have tasted in a long, long time, and staying in a delightfully presented room simply added to an unforgettable stay. We stayed on a snowy weekend in... More

I only complete these reviews when my experience has been very good or very bad. Mike and Tina Pemburton were outstanding hosts. The ambiance, the food, the wine and the other couple we met and shared a table with were outstanding. We have had some sorry experiences in Norfolk where we live over the years and have paid a lot of money... More

I really do not believe any of the other good reviews regarding this place! Although as you can see there are not many and this tells its own story! The room was billed as 'modern', maybe for 1980, and not particularly tasteful, although clean enough, except the awful dusty grey venitian blinds which hid the dirty windows. The blinds kept... At first we thought “Mustntgrumble” had not actually stayed at Brovey Lair which would have cast grave doubts on the authenticity of this review. Then we realised that even allowing for minor inaccuracies the detail was such that whoever wrote it probably had stayed or been put up to it by an aggrieved party. We have trawled through our bookings... More

Tina's fusion of flavours provides layers of excitement for your taste buds! The ingredients are super fresh and the combination of herbs & spices are cleverly interwoven like a work of art. Expect a superb & imaginative dinner plus a delightful & original Cal/Mex breakfast/brunch. The rooms overlooking the garden are very clean , quiet & comfortable. Tina & Mike... More

We stayed mid-week and we were the only people dining that evening, but Tina and Mike just made it extra-special for us. When we arrived Mike appeared at our car with a welcoming smile and took our luggage for us. We followed him to a large, modern, light and comfortable annexe attached to the main house. Impeccably clean with large... More

Like nearly all of the other reviewers we were incredibly impressed by the warmth of the welcome and service we received at Brovey Lair. Mike and Tina made us feel like nothing was too much trouble, from the minute we arrived to the minute we left. Our room overlooking the garden was spacious, modern, immaculately clean and very comfortable. Dinner... More

Tina and Mike are special people who, in opening their home to the world, have created something truly special in perhaps the last place you could expect to find it, namely rural Norfolk. Appearing from the outside to be a completely ordinary (if fairly large) family home, this is the perfect place to bring unwitting friends, relatives or a partner... More

Our second visit to Brovey Lair was a relaxing and satisfying as the first. To commence, drinks and nibbles are served to your room while anticipating the fantastic meal to come. The food is cooked in front of you and is delicious. There is a good choice of wine and the service is intimate and friendly. Rooms are large, spotless... More

The owners Mike and Tina make you feel at home from when you arrive - literally as you are in their home. The two spacious suites which are attached to the house are spacious, modern and extremely comfortable with all the amenities including the swimming pool. The views are amazing and we were lucky enough to watch a female mountjack... More
