What a brilliant find! When our pooch is in tow, we are limited for places to stay on our travels. Some dog-friendly places aren't really up to the standards you would perhaps get if travelling canine-free, but this place sets the standard. I booked with Clive, the owner, who has a very relaxed manner, and is very friendly. There was... More

We stayed for two nights and really enjoyed it, Room was clean, comfortable, stylish and great value. A good nights sleep was followed by an excellent breakfast, served by the very friendly owner. The hotel is situated a short walk from town and station. we will return and have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

I have stayed here for weeks on end while working locally and can recommend The Old Rectory as the perfect place to stay. It is quiet, close to the town centre, in fact just a short stroll through a small park. The owner is friendly and cooks a very good breakfast which also includes; cereals, fresh fruit, orange juice, toast,... More

As promised we went back after our first visit in February and were not disappointed. Very clean, an outstanding breakfast and nicely priced at £65 for a couple. The lady housekeeper, Jane (?), was lovely and the owner very pleasant. The location is a short walk from the station and close to the town centre. Next time we go to... More

My wife and I drove down from visiting Yorkshire, telephoning the owner to give him the time of our arrival. We parked the car in the excellent off-street parking and were taken around the side of the house through the beautiful garden to our downstairs room. The room was perfect (apart from the strangely positioned flat-screen TV) for our one... More

Our recent stay at The Old Rectory was excellent. We have stayed here 3 times before and keep returning when we visit Norfolk. It is an outstanding B & B, very comfortable, clean excellent all round. Clive the owner makes you feel very welcome. Situated near the park, and in walking distance of Kings Lynn. When we returned to our... More

I have stayed here a few times now and I am always really happy with our stay. The rooms are modern and clean. Very good facilities. Loads of space in the rooms which was good as we had a travel cot in the room too. The rooms feel very homely. The full English is lovely and not fatty. Then there's... More

I stayed here with my collagues for 5 nights in November 2013. Clive really set a high standard for the future b&b:s. We had all 3 top floor rooms and these were all gorgeous. Two of the rooms opposite each other were huge. The other one was smaller but had a huge bathroom with both bath and shower. The b&b... More

My wife and I drove up from North Kent to stay at the Old Rectory. It was a very good choice. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the owner very pleasant. The price for one night was only £65 and the next morning we had an excellent breakfast. If you need an evening meal then try next door at... More
