Stayed here as a stopover for one night. Having read a fair few negative reviews, I was prepared for the worst, but I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were well sized, with decent ensuite facilities. Neither room nor bathroom were spotlessly clean, but they certainly weren't horribly dirty. The smoke detector in our room was beeping intermittently, but within 10... more

An extremely warm reception and an escort to our room, bags carried. Excellent bar room atmosphere with friendly and helpful locals. It must be borne in mind that this is a historic building and this leaves minimal space for 'ensuite' facilities. Ask yourself whether you would prefer to queue for a shared bathroom or have your own small facilities. The... more

My husband and I have just returned from a one night stay at the Tudor Rose Hotel. Don't get me wrong, we weren't expecting anything plush - we just wanted somewhere to lay our heads for the night as we were in the area for a wedding and knew that we would be spending little time at the hotel. However,... more

We booked a 2 night stay. However decided not to stay, even though we had already paid in advance!!! I expected the rooms to be basic but clean. The room was dusty, the carpet was very dirty, I didn't even want to take off my shoes!! The bathroom was dirty and mouldy. It had an unclean, unpleasant smell. The photos... more

I arrived at The Tudor Rose with very low expectations after reading many negative reviews, after my two night stay I can safely say that those negative reviews are quite ridiculous. Upon arrival I was greeted by a very polite and charmingly handsome young man, I later found out he was the son of the equally pleasant owner. I was... more

We ventured up to Kings Lynn a few weeks back to enjoy a short break away...we stayed at the Tudor rose and felt the service provided was excellent value for money..The hotel is ideally located for a vast range of shops, bars and clubs yet boasts its very own friendly and relaxing bar for a night cap....The rooms were clean... more

This hotel is by far the worst that i have ever had the plesure of stopping in........Ive stopped in far better hostels in Amsterdam!! Dont let the good review before me fool you, the owner is in my words a "crafty cockney" and by the poster before coming from Essex they are properly related and have put up a false... more

I heared that the owners had only just been taken oven about a year or so... They seemed very pleasent and they also said there had been vast improvements since they have taken over. The owner seemed very pleasent and welcoming and is a true warming person. We sat down had a good drink and a chat. The rooms were... more

The Tudor Rose was when I stayed there in 2002 and the owners were very pleasent. food and rooms clean and tidy. However one needs to be wary of the noises at night. If you here children laughing and running on the stairs, do not be alarmed they are my ancestors children who died of the plague. The old man... more

One of the worst places I have ever stayed. An opinion shared by every member of our party. The place stunk to high heaven, rooms and furniture couldn't be anymore dated without being regarded as antique and as for the food.... Looks great from the outside. Building oozes character and potential, but needs a major overhaul. Don't stay here until... more
