Nice hotel in a great location right on Tuesday market place, ideal if you are having a night out at the corn exchange or maybe a meal in town. Works well as a business hotel, you must remember that this is Norfolk (Sorry Folks). Shame it has no pool, if it did it would be #1 in area. If i... More

My wife and I returned to the Dukes Head, having been before about 5 years ago. We were surprised at the quality of the refurbishment of all areas since our last visit. Our two night stay included a meal both nights which was excellent. The superior room overlooking the square was also first class. We had a very comfortable weekend... More

Lovely hotel right in the centre of town. Old hotel which has a lot of character not like the new hotels built these days. Breakfast was first class, plenty of choice and freshly cooked. Room was comfortable and clean. Step outside to the shops and restaurants if needed. Staff very friendly. One small negative, car park very tight, and you... More

We had a one night stay deal through 'Travel Zoo'. On arrival we had Pimm's and strawberrys and cream, very nice although it was difficult to find a place to sit with a clean table, plates and glasses had not been cleared, there seemed no one around to do it so first impressions wasn't so good. The evening dining was... More

We chose the Duke's Head as the current reviews were good. On accessing the website, we were offered the option of a two-night dinner, bed and breakfast Great British Break-off. This offered incredible value at £84.50 per double room per night. The room was typical of a commercial hotel, and included the usual features and extras such as toiletries Wi-Fi... More

We stayed at the Duke's Head over a very wet weekend in November. Our Standard Double lacked the character of the posher, more expensive rooms at the front of the hotel but had everything we needed, including a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was buffet style. We didn't try the cooked but the 'continental' was very good although the teapot for... More

Stayed here for a weekend away. Booked a suite in the older part of the hotel. Plenty of room nicely furnished all in all high quality. Odd to have plastic glasses in bathroom but these were readily replaced. Breakfast also good quality. The hotel is well positioned to explore the town and head out for a drive along the coast....
