The restaurant was very quiet when we arrived around 9am ( they serve between 7 - 10) for the self service breakfast. Pastries ok, but hot food not hot, cheap sausages and reheated mushy baked beans, etc.... All this for £12.95 - what a rip off! Such a shame as I live in Kings a Lynn and this hotel is... More

Just stayed for one night and found it very comfortable. Might try for a room with a better view though next time especially if I bring my wife! Bar snacks very limited but was acceptable for my one night stay.breakfast was good.

The public rooms on the ground floor of the hotel are well appointed, stylishly furnished and very comfortable. I visited with friends for a weekday evening meal. The place was very quiet (which we appreciated). The dining room is very pleasant, the menu varied and interesting (set price for a two or three course meal). I had heard mixed reports... More

Just returned from a 2 night post Christmas break. Overall a lovely hotel but after reading some of the other reviews I feel we paid rather a lot for just the room (No 2). Couple of minor niggles re the room...The window was extremely draughty so much so that the net curtain was permanently blowing in. In the bathroom a... More

Nice hotel in a great location right on Tuesday market place, ideal if you are having a night out at the corn exchange or maybe a meal in town. Works well as a business hotel, you must remember that this is Norfolk (Sorry Folks). Shame it has no pool, if it did it would be #1 in area. If i... More

My wife and I returned to the Dukes Head, having been before about 5 years ago. We were surprised at the quality of the refurbishment of all areas since our last visit. Our two night stay included a meal both nights which was excellent. The superior room overlooking the square was also first class. We had a very comfortable weekend... More

Lovely hotel right in the centre of town. Old hotel which has a lot of character not like the new hotels built these days. Breakfast was first class, plenty of choice and freshly cooked. Room was comfortable and clean. Step outside to the shops and restaurants if needed. Staff very friendly. One small negative, car park very tight, and you... More

We had a one night stay deal through 'Travel Zoo'. On arrival we had Pimm's and strawberrys and cream, very nice although it was difficult to find a place to sit with a clean table, plates and glasses had not been cleared, there seemed no one around to do it so first impressions wasn't so good. The evening dining was... More
