A truly wonderful one night stay at Congham Hall has left us longing for the day we can once again shrug-off child-rearing commitments and escape to this haven in the Norfolk countryside. Having arrived early and parched we were brought a pot of tea in the lounge (free of charge) and left to admire the beautiful decor. In the hall... More

Perfect country house hotel for striking out to visit the beauty of N Norfolk, especially some of the most gorgeous unspoiled beaches in the country. V pleasant restaurant with plenty of choice and generously proportioned private rooms for afternoon tea, with al fresco option. Superb spa with hot tub looking out onto rolling grounds. Some nice touches such as complimentary... More

I'm pleased to report that Congham - under Julie's careful stewardship - has recovered its former glory, although gone is some of the hotels' quirkiness and character through the modernisation. Staff, service and food top notch. A very small beef, being seated inclose proximity to the only other occupied table in an otherwise empty restaurant was not a good idea... More

A lovely old hotel in a fantastic setting. We were given a choice of where to sit, either library, sitting room, bar or outside, we choose the sitting room which had a views over the front of the hotel. The staff were very friendly, the hotel clean, cared for and welcoming, the grounds well maintained. Our drinks order was taken,... More

Just returned from a two night stay at Congham Hall, having chosen it after reading reviews on here. I can only echo much of what has been said - beautiful hotel and grounds with a classic/contemporary feel. Nice to stay in a hotel which lives up to the billing and isn't 'tired' or living on past glories. We stayed in... More

There is something very nice about staying in a lovely old Country House hotel which is privately owned! From the moment you step through the door you feel the pride of the staff there, right up to the owner who was very hands-on, handing out menus, pouring drinks, and generally making sure that his guests were well looked after. The... More

We stayed one night at Congham Hall on one of our detour routes between Dover and the North. Heavy Friday traffic and delays on the M25 between J3 and J30 spurned us into leaving at J30 (the first one after the Dartford tunnel) and having a more leisurely journey through Essex and up to Norfolk. Kings Lynn seemed the obvious... More

We stayed for one night with friends and used the spa followed by full afternoon tea so felt that we had the whole Congham Experience. Firstly the whole hotel is absolutely spotless and beautifully decorated. The restaurant looks out onto the parkland and gardens, which was lovely at breakfast as the weather was glorious. The setting of the hotel is superb.... More

We stayed a beautiful suite on the ground floor of this newly refurbished hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly from the time we booked until we left. Little extras such as courtesy car windscreen cleaning, home made cookies in the room larder and double the usual ration of fluffy towels in the bathroom made our stay special. We... More
