We stayed at the Bank House Hotel for my boyfriends birthday, and it was absolutely amazing. I had read that it was very personalised so I was a bit cheeky and requested some batman goodies, and somehow they tracked some down for us – incredible! The Captain’s Room is huge, and the bathroom is exquisite. Definitely worth paying that little... More

We spent the weekend in King's Lynn simply because it is the terminus of Great Northern's route out of London. The town is charming and compact, everywhere seems to be no more than ten minutes walk from everywhere else, with different architectural styles from many periods. As inferred the hotel is about a ten minute walk from the railway station.... More

I came for afternoon tea with my friend who had traveled over from Ireland for the weekend. The afternoon tea was lovely and a lovely treat for me and my friend. As asked for we received all cheese sandwiches and the cakes and scones were lovely. The staff who served us were lovely, polite and catered to all our needs.... More

Thank you for your kind review of your recent afternoon tea at Bank House. I am so glad you enjoyed it. We aim to make Afternoon Tea an enjoyable and very relaxing experience, with lots of delicious things to eat and looking pretty and appealing, and I think we normally succeed but I do apologise for the spider. You kindly... More

Spent one night in the hotel after googling hotels in the area, couldn't have been more delighted with the room, the bed, spot, the view and the service. Had a deluxe room and stayed in The Captain's Room, bed lovely and comfortable, view absolutely stunning and the bathroom....... don't know where to start, luxury doesn't begin to cover it. Would... That's the impression of what's going on here when you read the owner's guide to King's Lynn and area, which is well written, and with a thoughtful approach. And the hotel is comfortable - our room (the Custom House room) was large and airy and with a great view over the square alongside the river and its little inlet, the... More

We stayed for 2 nights over the May bank holiday on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis at £160 prpn. We stayed in Tom's Room which is on the top floor with a side view of the square but not the river. On arrival: the main black door to the grand old house is often shut and only used for... More

Spent 1 night at the hotel with friends and were really pleased with the choice, the hotel is on the banks of the Great Ouse, which makes an interesting back drop. Kings Lynn itself is an intersting town with a well preserved old centre, hard to imagine how it would have looked with a river and docks full of ships! Loved... More

We spent 2 nights at the hotel and enjoyed the experience. The rooms were clean, well furnished and roomy. The breakfasts were good with a varied menu. We also took advantage of the evening meal menus and as a result of the excellent first night's experience booked another meal on the second evening, and were not disappointed. The staff were... Having often stayed in the sister hotel, the Rose and Crown in Dersingham which won pub of the year 2015 recently, I thought I'd try out the Bank house hotel in central Kings Lynn, The location is ideal, and also being home to a great restaurant where I have eaten before I was looking forward to seeing what the accommodation... Head and shoulders above anything else that the town can offer for both accommodation and food. The hotel is very tastefully decorated, staff very welcoming and friendly and the food excellent. Stayed for two nights and well worth it to explore surrounding norfolk coast etc. The bath room was very good - spacious and bed very comfortable. My only suggestions... More
