We have just arrived home after a wonderful weekend at St. Cuthberts cottage. We took all the items we normally would to stay self-catering and needed absolutely nothing because the cottage was so well equipped. It was very homely and was a perfect base for us to explore the coastline looking for sea glass. There is also a pub and... More

We traveled to Seaham to rest for a few days and to hunt seaglass. Mick and Jules are generous and made us feel "at home" right away. The bed gave us a wonderful nights sleep, the fire warmed us after hours beachcombing, the wine was welcolmed and treats in our room yummy. Mick was able to lend us a map... More

I travelled up to the North East for a couple of days work, but took my parents along for the break. We chose the Eastshaw guest House because of the previous reviews and I loved the fact that once booked, the whole guest house was yours with no-one else there. It really was like a 'home from home' lovely spacious... More

Well where do we start because there are so many things to say...... This has got to be the best ever self catering accommodation. Twice now we've stayed and both times its been a delightful experience. The cottage is so well kitted out all you need to do is turn up with your own bits n peices peices. Sounds too... More

We stayed here for a quiet romantic stay in Seaham especially so that my wife could collect seaglass over Valentines weekend. We have visited Seaham before but had previously had a nosey outside this impressive Guesthouse right on the beach front and wanted to stay here. Open fires and amazing views were what drew us to this guest house. However... More

This was my second visit to Seaham having last time stayed at the wonderful cottage with my husband. This time I brought my mother and her friend to stay at the guesthouse. They were both so impressed by the warmth of our hosts and their impeccable attention to detail. Each day we came home from wet and wild sea-glass adventures... More

Thank you for this lovely review. You certainly were the hardiest Seaglass hunters. The weather was truly horrible and it did not stop you all. Thanks for staying with us. More

This is our second time at St Cuthberts Cottage and just like to first time it was wonderful. Four of us stayed over the Christmas period and just like the first time it was very sad to have to leave. Every positive comment/review about the cottage is true, as soon as you get there the atmosphere envelops you and gives... More

I grew up in Seaham (now living in Oxfordshire) and came 'home' to get married. We stayed for the weekend in the Cottage along with our 2 daughters and 2 dogs! The location brought back childhood memories of playing in the park and the stream behind the house. The Cottage is immaculate! Beautifully decorated and the 2 wood burning fires... More

We enjoyed our stay at Eastshaw Guesthouse. Jules and Mick are great hosts. We felt well taken from the first second until departure. The rooms are nicely equipped and clean. The breakfast is excellent. A great choice for breakfast with home made buns.
