My sister and I have been visiting Seaham for the last 3 years having adopted the hobby of seaglassing!! A relatively short space of time, to say it now feels like 'Going Home' !!! This is due to the wonderfully warm and welcoming hospitality of Mick and Julie Wilson, owners and hosts of Eastshaw Guest House, Seaham. The location is... More

A second visit to Eastshaw just confirmed exactly how good this B&B is. Every comfort is catered for in the lovely, spacious double bedrooms. The whole house has a 'home from home' feel to it which is in no small way due to the fabulous hospitality of the owner and proprietor, Mick Wilson. Breakfast of your personal choice is ably... Amazing guesthouse, amazing service, amazing hosts....nothing could be improved. Breakfast is sheer ecstasy---your choices of food cooked to order, freshly baked bread each morning (you can even choose your own flavor of bread). Eastshaw Guesthouse is the quintessential place for relaxation and superior service! We will definitely return.

We stayed here over a year ago following a bereavement locally. Mick and Jules looked after us like family. We came and went as the circumstances required, but were always warmly welcomed back. You will never have a better breakfast - with fresh home made bread - than Mick serves here. Not content with sharing their home, we also spent... More

One word will suffice-Superb. Not the average guest house at all. Mick was the perfect host, knowledgeable and helpful. Have already booked for a return visit despite being a long drive. I guess that says it all

We knew very little about Seaham before staying at Eastshaw Guesthouse but went home feeling like we discovered Aladin' s cave on the beach! I am of course referring to the plentiful sea glass that is available on the various beaches in the area. Mick will help you find your way as he is quite knowledgeable on the subject. Lots... More

We have stayed in many B&Bs, but I think that Eastshaw Guest House has to be about my favorite. Lovely rooms and wonderful hosts. Mick baked fresh bread for us each morning! We will definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

I've just got back from my first stay at Eastshaw Guest House. Mick and Jules are the perfect hosts - warm, friendly, relaxed and informative. They have made my stay one of the most enjoyable I have had anywhere. The house is lovely and my room was perfect - sea view, lovely decor, spotlessly clean and a comfortable bed. I... More

Stayed here for 3 nights in April while visiting friends. We were able to park our car outside the guesthouse which is off the road. Our room overlooked the harbour and Tommy. Great views. Henry the labrador showed us to our room and stayed a while whilst we unpacked. A cosy room with everything you need. Mick's breakfasts were something... More

Weather mostly windy and cold---but guesthouse and hosts Mick and Julie warm and cozy. Eleven nights, twelve days---three shared with good friends from near Monmouth. Outstanding breakfasts featuring Mick's baked bread and rolls. As for Julie, If you can catch this busy girl, you'll find she's savvy on many topics not least of which is living an upbeat and healthy... More
