Amazing!! Mick is an old friend (we both worked for Durham Constabulary). My daughter & I stayed at his beautiful cottage in November 2015. I am recovering from cancer surgery & it was a fantastic place to spend a few quiet days, warming ourselves by the real wood fires, watching the birds at the garden feeders, walking in the nearby... My husband and I and two good friends stayed here for two nights and I can honestly say that the hosts and the guest house are equally lovely. Such a warm welcome from the moment we arrived with tea, wine and beer waiting in a comfortable lounge with a roaring fire. The hosts ensure that only your party have the rooms... More

This guest house made my wife and me feel that we were at our own home. The experience was very relaxing. Comfortable bed, first class breakfast, nice bottle of wine left for us in the evening, and thoroughly looked after by Mick and Jules - what more could we want?

Having stayed at Eastshaw a few times before, once again we had a wonderful few days staying there. Mick & Julie are once again the perfect hosts, extremely friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the company of Stanley (so friendly and well behaved) and Chilton - they joined us in the Lounge for a cosy night in with the warmth of... More

This wonderful B&B had been recommended by several people I'd spoken to and they couldn't rate it highly enough. On arrival we had a lovely friendly welcome and the house was warm and inviting. Our rooms were beautiful, clean and a lovely size with lots of comfortable furniture, some antique which complimented the stunning Georgian building. The beautiful sea views... More

Have just come back from my second and my husband's first fantastic holliday at Eastshawe Guest House. Once again a delightful stay. My husband was well impressed. We had a fabulous time that no previous holiday accommodation can compare. Furnishings in keeping with the period property creating an old world charm of comfort and homeliness. The front room has a... More

Thank you Mick, Jules, Stanley, and Chilton for another wonderful visit - our 5th - to Eastshaw in Seaham. We love everything about it: the lovely historical home, Mick's breakfasts, the warm conversation (and how Jules keeps us laughing), the beach, the town - there's truly nowhere else in the world we'd rather stay!

My sister and I have been visiting Seaham for the last 3 years having adopted the hobby of seaglassing!! A relatively short space of time, to say it now feels like 'Going Home' !!! This is due to the wonderfully warm and welcoming hospitality of Mick and Julie Wilson, owners and hosts of Eastshaw Guest House, Seaham. The location is... More

A second visit to Eastshaw just confirmed exactly how good this B&B is. Every comfort is catered for in the lovely, spacious double bedrooms. The whole house has a 'home from home' feel to it which is in no small way due to the fabulous hospitality of the owner and proprietor, Mick Wilson. Breakfast of your personal choice is ably... Amazing guesthouse, amazing service, amazing hosts....nothing could be improved. Breakfast is sheer ecstasy---your choices of food cooked to order, freshly baked bread each morning (you can even choose your own flavor of bread). Eastshaw Guesthouse is the quintessential place for relaxation and superior service! We will definitely return.
