We needed a comfortable overnight stay near to Sunderland. The Seaton lane is 10 miles away but close to the A19 to make the drive into the City simple. The rooms are small but well appointed and comfortable. We had a snack meal in the evening which was tasty and served speedily (we were in a hurrry). After our evening... More

rooms spotless and snug, food fantastic and very quick even when busy. Best of all are the staff, polite, efficient and always happy to help. Now to find a reason to bring my wife!!!!! The only issue is mobile connectivity which is poor to say the least, the hotes broadband is unsecured.

I stayed here for three nights recently whilst visiting family in the local area. I had prior knowledge of the pub and restaurant from previous visits which had been good experiences. The hotel is a great place to stay. The rooms are of a high standard of furnishings and cleanliness. The bar/restaurant is welcoming, reasonably priced and the breakfast is... More

Just visited the Seaton Lane Inn as two couples the weekend just gone as somewhere to meet, have a few drinks, a meal and a bed for the night. It completely exceeded our expectations. When we arrived it looked to be fairly busy in the front bar but there was still a lovely area with tables by the reception bar... More

Having read everyones review I decided to take my old friend to Sunday lunch here. We arrived early and that wasnt a problem we could either sit and have a drink or go to our table. We opted for the table, It had a really nice ambiance and was lovely and clean. When I saw the menu I couldnt believe... More

Myself and a colleague stayed here recently for one night before a business meeting - on arrival, the staff were warm, welcoming and friendly, we hadn't booked a room for dinner but they were happy to accommodate us even though it was quite late when we arrived. Rooms were lovely, warm and clean, I have read the comments about small... More

Stayed overnight with the B&B+dinner package. £125 for accommodation, plus dinner and breakfast for two. The food was very nice, the manager very accommodating with dietary requirements. The whole place was a bit of a pleasant surprise frankly. The bar and restaurant were nicely decorated although quite small, and noise isn't softened by the décor. The rooms are okay, nicely... I have reviewed the restaurant here previously but this time I stayed in the hotel too. The rooms are very small but well decorated with an air of quality keeping it ahead of its budget rivals. That's the main point too. This is still a budget hotel by price yet one receives many of the trappings of a far more... More
