This was birthday treat from my husband and what a treat it was. Lovely rooms with one of the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. The pub and restaurant are beautifully decorated and the staff are warm and welcoming. The food is the icing on the cake. Fresh produce cooked amazingly well. Can't fault this place.

We spent 3 nights here on our way back home from Scotland and what a superb choice it was. From the impressive bedrooms, cleanliness, quality of food to all the staff who were truly exceptional and couldn't have been more helpful and cheery.A special mention for Kate our waitress for a couple of meals who was naturally bright and bubbly even first thing... We arrived on Saturday and were taken to our room as my husband has had an operation on his foot and was on a mobility scooter. We had booked the disabled room and it was lovely, very comfortable beds and super bathroom. We hadn't had any lunch and the receptionist suggested a sandwich and went for the menu, they don't... Stayed here for 5 nights on business. Lovely room (15). Massive bed. Very clean. The rooms are back behind the Inn away from the road. My room was quite, even with the window open. The restaurant food was very good for the evening meal and breakfast was also very nice. Quite a way from Sunderland (and public transport is limited... More

We stayed here on a Saturday night as a break in a journey from Scotland. Discovered as a reasonable deal on LateRooms.com. On arrival I was a bit disappointed to see that it appeared to be just a pub. Once parked and inside we were very pleasantly surprised. The Reception is situated in the bar area and we were checked... More

Room 10. Nice and quiet, very clean and excellent comfy bed. Breakfast was very good with plenty on the plate and a help yourself table with cereals, croissants etc. Nothing seemed to be any trouble for the staff who were pleasant and well presented. Ideally placed for Durham and the beautiful coast. Won't hesitate to book again when visiting the... More

A friend booked here so we could visit someone at the Sunderland hospital. It's very close to the hospital and extremely well priced. Don't be put off by thinking it's just a pub with rooms. These rooms are some of the best rooms I have stayed in, even compared to some larger well known chains. Very comfortable nights sleep. Very... More

I stayed one night, while visiting friends in the area. The room was modern, clean and comfortable. I had lunch at the restaurant, and the food was good and reasonably priced. Breakfast was included in the price of the room - there was a good range of cooked options plus continental. the eggs Benedict was delicious. The location is central... More

Having arrived at the Inn, we were most impressed with the facilities and the beautiful room we were allocated. We had booked the room as we were going to a concert at the Stadium of Light. After which, we arrived back at the hotel at 2am after having to wait two hours for a taxi. (Not the Hotels fault) Only... More

The food, the drinks, the menu (the cheeseboard inparticular), the service, the staff, the facilities, the ambience & the prices were all ok. All in all the Seaton Lane Inn was very good, but nowt to write home about. 4/5.
