The concept for the Seaton Lane Inn is laudable - offer a first-class boutique hotel experience in former colliery district, replacing coal with class. The interior design is excellent, the colours and materials of the rooms are very tasteful. Unfortunately, after only about 6 years, the hotel is looking a little ragged and well-worn. The tap and sink don’t line... More

Lovely stay at Seaton Inn for 3 nights. Huge bed, nice clean room. Shower was good, bathroom was clean. The staff were friendly. Only a couple of niggles. The grout round the shower could do with a refresh. The three mornings we came down for breakfast the smell of bleach hit you. I would like to come down to the... More

Visited during early evening for a meal with my wife. Food was extremely tasty, but I must agree with other reviewers the portion sizes are a bit on the small size. I had the Thai green chicken curry which was delicious. The accompanying rice and chips came in a tiny bow, I may be wrong but in the past I... More

Rooms very spacious and well appointed. Tea and coffee facilities along with a hairdryer in the room. The shower is very large and water very hot. Bed is massive and very comfortable. Breakfast was very nice and products nice and fresh. We had a meal there and it was fantastic. Recommend you book a week in advance for Saturday or... More

Rooms lovely beds comfortable but rooms a little dusty. Tea and coffee in the room some biscuits would have been lovely( but just me been picky) Breakfast lovely. We were staying after my Nanna's 90th. We had a great time. Thank you so much for making it special.

Used this hotel for an American business colleague last week and found it was a great place as he was made very welcome by all the staff, food great and the cask ale also good. Rooms clean, tidy and very quiet at night an around good place great value for money with good access to several golf courses.

Such a lovely place to stay. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful and the rooms were very nicely appointed. The food was excellent. The only point would be to suggest fans for the rooms-it was very hot when I was there (an odd occurrence in the north of England I know!) but a fan would have helped because it... More

I stayed here this week whilst working away and will start by saying that this a good choice and I will happily stay here again when in the area. Checking in was quick and painless and I was given directions to my room which was clean and well appointed and perfect for a one night stay. The shower was roomy... More

Beautiful interior both in the rooms and restaurant. Excellent service and food was delicious. It was ideal for our meeting in Seaham, just off the A19. Didn't get a chance to sit outside but it had a lovely outdoor space with tables and covered area, perfect for summer evenings. I would definitely return given the chance.
