Firstly DO NOT PAY ATTENTION TO THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS. My wife and I stayed here for one night last week and were well satisfied with the service we received. This is not an expensive Hotel, it is very reasonably priced. The room was clean and spacious and the en suite satisfactory. Breakfast was what you would expect, cereal and a... More

My husband and I had a great weekend away staying at the Kings Arm Hotel. Excellent food and drink very well priced. Very friendly and welcoming staff. The hotel has a homely rustic feel. Beautiful location, 5 minutes walk from the countryside. Would highly recommend.

I can't recommend the Kings Arms enough, from the friendly welcome and staff, to the evening meal (which I would have happily paid double for) to the newly refurbished room, to the full English in the morning! If you're remotely close to Kirkby Stephen you should really pop in to the Kings Arms.

The look is rustic which is in keeping with the location. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I had a sirloin steak which was excellent and the room I stayed in was lovely. Would recommend to anyone

Friendly and professional staff. Delicious food at a very good price. There was a very genuine welcoming atmosphere from the minute we arrived. Well worth a visit. Thanks for the warm fire to help us warm up after a long day walking!

The service and attention was first class and the meals were plentiful a really good. The snug is a great bar with a good local following which is always a good sign, real... More

We called in at the King’s Arms before going out to dinner when doing the Coast to Coast walk. It is full of salt of the earth working men, drinking pints of beer. The clientelle are no nonsense types, jolly, loud and boisterous. They are so obviously at home in this pub that I suspect that it is probably an... More

We stayed at the kings arms as some of the first guests under new owners Chris and Marvin. These two have taken on this fantastic old inn and started to renovate it and bring it back to its former glory! The snug bar is a delight to drink in tastefully decorated serving good quality ales from timothy Taylor. We were... More

Only rating this for the food served (we did not stay here) Popped in here for a quick bite for an evening meal. We were very unsure if we should stay as the place (dining room) looked rather run down and not very inviting. Decor was very dark, dark wood tables, no lamp shades on the low-energy light bulbs, cheap... More
