I wouldn't want to be looking for Barbon in the dark. It is certainly off the beaten track! The rooms are comfortable enough, but do ask for a king-sized bed if booking a superior room. The bar, lounge and restaurant were warm and inviting with real fires burning in each room. Unfortunately the rooms were less so. We opted for a superior room benefiting from a en-suite bathroom and a four poster bed for £120, expensive for the area but we wanted something special.
