Had room7 in july 2014. Room was dark, roasting hot, dated, tatty and tired. Room was above kitchen so heat was unbearable but owners refused to move us to another room. Paid for 2 nights but left after one. Would never stay here again.

We have just enjoyed two night stay at The Barbon Inn near Kirby Lonsdale. It has modern facilities without losing the look and feel of its heritage. The village is small and quiet but not far from the M6 motorway. It is a good location for touring The Dales or a day out to The Lakes. The staff are very... More

Had two night stay with Amazon Local deal for B&B. Room comfy (room 8), food in the restaurant is nice and the breakfast was good although a little greasy. Set in a lovely location and the staff friendly and attentive. Have read comments about the place being dated but it is a 17th century inn - what do you expect!... More

We stayed for two nights in Room 2. and really enjoyed the holiday - the room was large and bright, bed was comfy and there were nice little touches such as extra blankets in the wardrobe and toiletries in the bathroom. It's set in a little village (there's just over 200 people there apparently) in beautiful countryside and the locals... More

Booked a two night Dealmonster break at the Barbon Inn and we had no idea where we were going or what to expect. What a lovely surprise! The village is stunning, with not even so much as a rogue sweet wrapper floating about, and the Barbon Inn is equally impressive, set as it is at the far end of the... More

Pretty little place in nice village but unlucky with the room we got number 7. Thought I was back in 1970..Decor very dated with old fashioned Haywain type wall art/. The bathroon was a cubicle built into the bedroom which took away most of the natual light . So not able to read . One creaky chair meant you had... More

Beautiful views and location. Room was comfy and clean. People friendly especially the waitress at breakfast and the barman. Beautiful garden, but unfortunately you're not encouraged to smoke there and seats are placed in the car park for this.

Access to the Inn is up a single track road, but it only lasts for about half a mile and there is little traffic on it. We stayed here on our way back from a French classic car event. The staff were good in helping us find a space for our car trailer and we received a warm welcome in... More

We have visited this Inn a few times but have never really been satisfied with the service at the bar and the high prices of what are ordinary brands of beers/lagers. On our most recent visit the barmaid was also acting as waitress and possibly chef to a customer who was dissatisfied with their meal and wanted some mashed potato.... More
