My wife and I together with friends stayed for 2 nights at this traditional inn which is set in beautiful village. This is a great base for walking and touring and is stones throw from the lake district. The room 4 was very clean and a good size. The food was very good and the staff very friendly we will... More

Spent a lovely two night weekend away here with my partner recently. The Inn is very old and traditional and set in a beautiful area. Close enough to use as a base for walks in the area or to visit nearby towns and villages. Food and drink were excellent, breakfast set you up for he day. One or two areas... More

First of all we were given room 7!!. We had read reviews of the room and kind of ignored them I guess! Room 7 was clean, but the shower room/toilet was rubbish. Whilst we appreciate that the building is old, the shower might as well not have not been there!! (the tap was more powerful)Oh, and we had to share... More

Stayed here on an amazon local deal. Our room was lovely, good size with everything we needed. Shower was powerful. Tea and coffee making facilities, although these were not replenished after the first night. This is a lovely inn with a small bar and dining room and a gorgeous beer garden. The food is decent. The french rose wine was... More

Barbon Inn is a very old building and is comfortable, full of character but may lack some mod cons. This is evident via websites and reviews so we knew what to expect. Ours was a 2 night BandB through 'Amazon Local Deals'. Bedroom was fine with lots of storage space. Ample supplies of hot water, toiletries and big fluffy towels... More

We stayed at this hotel recently and the first night we ate in the restaurant, the steak in ale pie was excellent and the waitress service was very good. The hotel was very clean and comfortable rooms.

Upon arrival we were shown our room by a young girl. No instructions were given, how to turn things on, where things were, what time dinner was served etc. We were not informed either that there would be a party going on beneath our room until midnight! The TV was approximatey 10-12" and the remote control very dirty, the shower... More

Had room7 in july 2014. Room was dark, roasting hot, dated, tatty and tired. Room was above kitchen so heat was unbearable but owners refused to move us to another room. Paid for 2 nights but left after one. Would never stay here again.

We have just enjoyed two night stay at The Barbon Inn near Kirby Lonsdale. It has modern facilities without losing the look and feel of its heritage. The village is small and quiet but not far from the M6 motorway. It is a good location for touring The Dales or a day out to The Lakes. The staff are very... More

Had two night stay with Amazon Local deal for B&B. Room comfy (room 8), food in the restaurant is nice and the breakfast was good although a little greasy. Set in a lovely location and the staff friendly and attentive. Have read comments about the place being dated but it is a 17th century inn - what do you expect!... More
