We have dined here many times and find the food choice, presentation and taste, together with the excellent dining hall set in a medieval themed restaurant to be sublime. The owner and staff are all friendly and a lot of top level restaurateurs should take heed for their service is second to none. We used to frequent Northcote Manor, and... More

Just as good this, our thid visit, as previously..and this time we brought a friend who was equally impressed. Hipping Hall is definitely a hotel to go back to time and again, in our opinion, without disappointment . The rooms are very well appointed and comfortable , with a nice touch of fresh fruit provided. A pot of tea with... More

We treated some friends, who were visiting Kirkby Lonsdale, to afternoon tea at Hipping Hall. Had never visited the before hotel and have to say the hotel was lovely in a beautiful setting. We had a bottle of champagne to start with followed by the tea which was good but certainly had room for improvement. We were offered tea or... More

Third visit to Hipping Hall and as previous visits, the hotel is still excellent. I would recommend the taster menu, and the taster wine menu. Food and drink is superb, the service is excellent with very knowledgeable staff. The rooms are excellent and I would recommend the rooms that overlook the front fountain. I have been in others and they... More

We fought our way through a blizzard to be greeted with the news that we had been upgraded. The tea and lemon drizzle cake further lifted our spirits as we relaxed in the comfort of a lovely room watching the one inch snowflakes carpet the house and gardens. Dinner was just about as good as it gets, innovative and beautifully... More

We stayed at Hipping Hall between Christmas and New Year. We had their most basic room, but the standards were fantastic and I couldn't have asked for anything better. The room was huge, luxurious and clean. The bathroom again was huge with lots of little treats for us to use. In the evening we had dinner, opting for the 7... More

Walking up the gravel path you get the impression of a large country house (Hipping House would be a more fitting title). Tea and a slice of cake was a welcoming touch after our walk around Ingleton Falls earlier that day. We were taken to room 1, which was cozy enough but with only a view of the conservatory roof... Returning after a few years, we re-acquainted ourselves with this beautiful and charming hotel. We were really impressed again with the hotel ,particularly the food and the whole ambience of the place. Still elegant and understated, still warmly welcoming, comforting and embracing. Dinner was superb, and we shall be following the new chef. The depth of flavour, texture and detail... More

I bought my husband a Travelzoo voucher for Hipping Hall for Christmas but we only went yesterday. My husband needs a walk in shower so I booked room one(you can look at each room on Hipping Hall's website) lovely big room, comfy bed and well appointed bathroom with underfloor heating. We arrived before our room was ready but we were... More

Do not go here if you want the wifi to work all the time and reception for your telephone everywhere. This is a beautiful and old hall. The accomodation is extremely clean and good but it is an old building. It is not the Premier Inn thank heavens. It is a retreat and the guests treat it as such. Service... More
