We have just returned from our first visit to Hipping Hall and would have no hesitation in recommending it. Our visit started with the warmest of welcomes, we were offered a choice of rooms and then invited to the lounge for coffee and cake. Our room was lovely, facing the garden and had everything you could possibly need. After a... More

We booked our stay at the last minute and managed to secure the Suite which is a beautiful room with bedroom, lounge and an stunning bathroom, it is located in the top of the house via some pretty steep stairs so you need to be able bodied to stay in this room but its well worth the climb. We saw... More

We stayed in Room 8, nice suite with plenty of room and bathroom suitable for wheelchair users. We went for the tasting menu with accompanying wine. It was really good, some great taste combinations and knowledgeable staff, particularly with the wine. Staff were efficient and organised. It is a beautiful old building though not much is made of the history... More

Firstly, this is a very good character hotel. We stayed in room 3 which was very nice although the carpet is an acquired taste. You also need to get used to the slope on the floor which means that without a pillow your head is higher than your feet in bed. Also, you can't get wi-fi in your room, you... More

We got lost trying to find the hotel - there's a sign for it on the main road, but if you blink, you'll miss it (which we did). We rang the hotel and the very friendly woman who answered the phone got us back on track in no time. We arrived, sat in the garden and looked out on a... More

This was a two day treat. We arrived at this very pretty stone manor house on a gloriously sunny afternoon. We ordered tea outside but why are there no cushions on the chairs? This is not a cheap B&B and I would expect that the metal chairs would be supplied with cushions. The six course dinner was excellent. An interesting wine... More

I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. This visit was a gift for our 25th wedding anniversary. Nice quiet and well presented hotel. No tea making facilities in bedroom (room 5 at the rear) but it was provided as part of the service from the bar (no charge). Breakfast was the best part well presented and service without fault.Wish... More

Stayed in room 6 which was amazing!!! The staff and service were second to none. Celebrating a special Birthday with friends who kindly treated us. The wonderful 5 course dinner, with all the extras, Fab cocktails and pre dinner nibbles made it all very special! The afternoon tea on arrival in the beautiful gardens added that extra treat....

My husband and I have just enjoyed a lovely night away at Hipping Hall. On arrival we were told that we had been upgraded to a lovely, large room overlooking the gardens. We were then served tea and cake in the orangerie. Dinner was a sublime, culinary experience. All dishes were perfectly executed; both tasty and beautiful. Afterwards we enjoyed... More

Big thankyou to the staff at the hotel for taking care of us so well. We were celebrating a birthday with family. Staff were very attentive. We enjoyed afternoon tea on arrival in the beautiful gardens. It was a beautiful sunny day so that helped to show the gardens off to their best. Dinner was very nice - we opted... More
