Lovely small hotel. Kirby Lonsdale is a lovely town to browse in with nice shops and good restaurants. Room was very plain and quite small but clean. Get some proper pillows not these micro fibre things. Taster menu was excellent. Pleasant bar area and dining room. Lovely original artworks everywhere. Service was superb. Will go back.

We chose Hipping Hall for our wedding, and we're so pleased that we did. The hotel has a lovely feel to it and was perfect for our needs - 30 guests for lunch. The staff, in particular Andrew and Holly, were fantastic with truly excellent customer service. The room we had was spacious and beautifully decorated, with a large bathroom... More

Stayed here for the first time - and it was the 6th restaurant / hotel we stayed in - following the Tv programme ' The Trip ' ( look it up !). The hotel is fairly small, about 20 rooms. We had room 6 which was spacious and very comfortable. We had difficulty in finding the hotel - sign posting... More

hipping Hall is well worth a visit. The service was superb, and nothing was too much trouble. We were shown quickly to our room (no 5) which was spacious, beautifully furnished and with a shower room with all mod cons and lovely toiletries. Tea and cake was served in the lounge where we sat undisturbed by the fire for 2... More

We recently had the great pleasure of a short break at Hipping Hall, having never stayed before, but having had great reviews from family members who had stayed both in the hall and also the adjacent cottage room we were not disappointed and Hipping Hall lived up to everything we had been told. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming... More

We had the 7 course taster menu bought as a wedding gift. We booked a room, room 2, to stay the night as we had looked online and decided to take the accompanying wines with each course £39.50 each. On arrival the 15th century building is set in beautiful ground and gardens which were well looked after. The building itself... More

We stayed one night at Hipping Hall and appreciated the whole ambience of the elegant and historic building. The food was delicious and, without exception, the staff were friendly, self-confident and attentive. The bed was deliciously comfortable but, be warned, some rooms have only a shower en-suite. Hipping Hall is a tranquil and beautiful hotel to which we shall definitely... More

Wonderful hotel, 3 nights stay, staff were very welcoming, room very comfortable and food was if anything, too good for me. Near to lake district and to cap it all weather was very good. All in all a wonderful hotel for lake visiting.
