Literally just of the M4,j 17. This pleasing pub with rooms wasn't your average pit stop. A very hearty menu. Busy and well kept the pubs food was lovely. We just opted for soup and sandwich as everything else was more prices , dinner prices really. I would love to have seen a bigger lunch menu. Really nice attentive staff... More

We stopped for one night on our way west. We arrived late but had phoned ahead so they put our food order in for us as soon as we got there. The service was great - very friendly and accommodating. And the room was clean and comfortable. A good bed, powerful shower and nice towels. All we wanted for a... More

Met up with some family members for lunch as its location is so convenient, being just off the motorway. It has a large car park which is also handy. The first thing you notice are the friendly staff, we were met warmly and service continued to be exemplary. The bar area is cosy and has plenty of atmosphere. My starter... More

Was in the area on business, and stayed here. Very reasonably priced. Breakfast was excellent. I arrived v early and I was well looked after and my room prepared early as well. Staff could not have been more helpful. Rooms are lovely

We recently moved to the area and have been trying out a few places but our visit to The Pheasant was for my partners birthday. First impressions were that its a lot bigger than it looks from the road! There was plenty to choose from on the menu but at the time we were there they had a lot of... More

I stayed here 4 nights on business recently. Absolutely lovely pub/B&B and very friendly staff. Great service and food, lovely well appointed rooms, perfectly clean. I will definitely stay here again.

Second visit to The Pheasant principally because it's a perfect stopping place, half way between Bristol and London. Well that's doing The Pheasant a huge disservice. It's actually a very good, well-run pub. As before we were a mixed family group - youngest just over one year old, eldest just shy of 80. Lots in between! The Pheasant is perfect... More

We stayed saturday night and were so pleased we chosed the Phesant Inn - from the food, to cosy pub, to the beautiful room it was a perfect night away. We managed to leave our key somewhere and they were very good in giving us a replacement and not making a big fuss about it! Lovely manager and great staff!

Had lunch here recently and overall it was OK, I would like to try again as maybe it was just a bad selection on my part. The pub itself is very cosy and smart. They have a good selection of draft beers. The food: Starter of Mackerel was very good and looked very pretty on the plate with a variety... More

This is a great place to stay if you are visiting Lambourn. It is situated just off the M4, junction14. So is very easy to find. We had lunch and dinner in the evening. The food was excellent, though expensive. We stayed overnight. The bedroom was very well furnished, and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was... More
