Friendly, clean and central location. Basic and sound but very aged interior. Really tiny bathroom. Not great value, at CHF130/including cold buffet breakfast. Quite a lot of city noises through the night, not helped by someone on their phone in the next room at 02:30. And the cafe/restaurant had nothing, not a slice of bread or even a peanut, when... The location is excellent, 5 minute walk from the train station. It is a 2 star hotel but I found the value proposition quite good. The rooms were clean and cozy. Nothing fancy, but very acceptable. Clean and comfortable.

I stayed at the hotel for three nights. I didn't one the stay at all, for the following reasons. - 85+ € per night, but small rooms and old furniture. - No sheets in the bed. I've asked twice, and the second time I got replied that they sleep the 'Nordic way' and that the sheets are a thing of... More

Altogether I did not enjoy my stay (several nights) at the Elite hotel. The stuff was friendly and the room clean. I had a non-smoking room, but there was often a disgusting smoke smell (smoking neighbours?). It was also very noisy, particularly in the evening and during the night. The neighbours could be easily heard as well as the people... More

... And yes, I am used to swiss prices. But we paid 125 CHF for a room as basic as it can possibly get. Charmless. One can say that the standards of hygiene were respected, but that's really it. It's a pity for swiss hotels reputation.

I stayed at the Hotel Elute for 2 nights on business. The hotel us in a good central location. The hotel is very dated and could go with some updating. The room was small and basic with very old furniture. The breakfast was ok. I found the hotel to be extremely noisy through the night with the bar closing at... More

I been to Switzerland with 6 of my friends & it was a budget trip. We got down at Lussane stn to seek a budget hotel but didn't got any as all were full due to world trade congress (I been to Switzerland for internship programme by my university & stayed in Fribourg in 2007) So suddenly it got stuck... Didn't want to spend a lot in Fribourg, since we were only stopping for dinner and needed a place to sleep before heading to Zermatt the next day. Hotel is a short walk from the bus/train station. Very close to restaurants and shopping. Hotel smells like an old pub (beer and cigarettes). Rooms are very large with a large bathroom.... More
