We stayed here one night on a room only basis. There are good deals to be had if you're staying midweek. Travelling on public buses it's easy to arrive on the morning bus from the southern resorts or Puerto de la Cruz and leave the next day on the evening bus feeling like you've had a a decent long stay.... Parador. Paradise. Seriously, what an experience. Located in an arid valley, at approximately 6,000 feet, at the foot of El Teide (the highest mountain in Spain), 40km from anywhere else, in a moonscape of lava and extreme rock formations, with rare flora and fauna, you've got to stay there if you're on Tenerife. The Parador itself (Franco era, state-owned hotel)... More

We stayed here one night - we were attempting the peak of Teide so wanted to go up early in the morning to avoid the crowds. After staying in a very basic room in Playa de las Americas this was five star luxury. His and hers sink, super comfy beds and warm rooms with a nice view of the surrounding... More

We stayed for 2 nights in this hotel as we planned to summit Mount Teide. The hotel is in a stunning location but isolated; this is both an advantage and disadvantage, as there is no where else to eat. Our room was warm, comfortable and well equipped. No mountain view but a small balcony which caught the sun most of... More

It's wonderful to open the curtains and see beautiful clear blue sky and the volcano. The rooms weren't the best we've stayed in as the sofa and chairs were not very comfortable. They don't seem to employ enough staff but the ones they have are willingly helpful and friendly. The meals are of a very good standard for both quality... More

Stayed here recently, whilst doing a tour of the National Park. Opted to stay one night only. Booked through the Parador website, asking for Special Request of a top floor room, at end of corridor. Although the hotel was only two story, I was allocated room 121, which was at the end of the corridor. Although it did not have... More

It's a great hotel, really nice rooms, very clean. The staff is really professional. They also have a small pool and it was written that it closes at 18:30 but we arrived at 19:00 and it still was opened which was really nice. I also suppose it's a great place to watch the stars, but unfortunately it was raining the... More

We spent a couple of nights at this hotel which is the only hotel in the Teide National park. The room was clean and nice, and the view was decent, but the cons outweighd the pros by far. There is no available restaurant for miles, and the hotel restaurat is horrbile and highly overpriced. We recieved a dish that we... More

The location of this hotel is breathtaking. We had two rooms with views of Teide, The sunrise is worth waking for. The stargazing was brilliant until the moon came up and illuminated the landscape like a spotlight. Gorgeous! Dinner in the restaurant was delicious and breakfast faultless. The staff were relaxed and friendly. Free wifi in the lounge. Small refreshing... More

Being an annual visitor to Tenerife, staying at the Parador, Teide, has always been on the agenda. Finally got around to it at the end of July. Was so worth it. Read a few negative reviews regarding the 'tired and worn" hotel with staff that are not particularly helpful. Considering its location and that its a government run hotel, it... More
