Stayed here January 2015 for two nights. We have visited other Paradors so expecting the same high standard. The room was comfortable and clean but nothing outstanding - the view was outstanding The first evening we were asked not to have dinner until after 8pm as there was a large coach party earlier - the second evening we were asked... We stayed here 3 nights. We had booked a double room and were given a family room with two single beds pushed together, plus an additional single bed, and a very nice large bathroom. The room was bright and clean and the view magnificent. There is a very comfortable lounge with deep sofas and armchairs for guests to read and relax.... More

Spent two nights here at start of 10 day Tenerife break in early February - it was brilliant, good clean room, big comfy bed and we got caught in a snowstorm on day 2 as we walked to the volcano cable car station, which is about 2 miles from the hotel. What more could you want! We were room only... More

Stayed here for a night with a view to going up on the cable car although in the event it was not running. Still very worthwhile - usual Parador quality, lovely warm comfortable room. Excellent dinner in restaurant (towards the end of the tour group's sitting) and very good breakfast the next morning.

Stayed here a few months ago (bit late adding this!) but meant to before as I was surprised that the only hotel in the area was so quiet & empty. This was a bonus to some extent, but did make me wonder how they coped & I think they deserve more business. Although were only staying at Puerto de la... More

This is a brilliant place from which to explore Teide National Park. It has typical Parador qualities, good food, but beware when tour parties arrive, and staff are distracted from residents, shame. One evening, dinner was so slow that we abandoned it. More staff required.

Well worth staying here for the surroundings and the views. Really good for stargazing, even if you are not an astronomer. We checked in early, having been up El Teide in the morning. The hotel was appropriately carpeted for a hotel set in a lunar landscape. Practical, and easy clean. The room was terrific, though water was in slightly short... More

I treated my husband to a stay at the Parador during a weeks holiday in Tenerife. He had always wanted to stay there to be able to experience and enjoy the night sky as it is said to be one of the best places in the world to do so due to the high altitude and lack of light pollution.... More

We stayed here one night on a room only basis. There are good deals to be had if you're staying midweek. Travelling on public buses it's easy to arrive on the morning bus from the southern resorts or Puerto de la Cruz and leave the next day on the evening bus feeling like you've had a a decent long stay.... Parador. Paradise. Seriously, what an experience. Located in an arid valley, at approximately 6,000 feet, at the foot of El Teide (the highest mountain in Spain), 40km from anywhere else, in a moonscape of lava and extreme rock formations, with rare flora and fauna, you've got to stay there if you're on Tenerife. The Parador itself (Franco era, state-owned hotel)... More
