The complex was not full so it was easy to get a sunbed but in high season I would imagine it to be quite different as the pool is small and the area around is not much larger. There is a large hill in front of the comp;ex which is known as cardiac hill for obvious reasons and when you... more

Went for a week to the Royale. What a luxury. Jacuzi on the balcony, beautifully furnished rooms, immaculate resort and VERY VERY VERY helpfull friendly staff who cant do enough for you. Rooms were cleaned every second day, our maid Carolina was very friendly speaking to us everytime she saw us. While on holiday we had a family crisis and... more

Arrived at 11.30pm and was greeted promptly and warmly by the reception staff. Within half an hour of our arrival we were enjoying a large rum and coke on our fantastic balcony. Our apartment B304 was fantastic, very clean and comfortable and provided everything you needed. Cannot complain about the resort at all. Yes it is a hike up to... more

My family have just returned from a weeks vacation at Club La Costa at Monterey. Having read some of the previous comments about this resort, we were somewhat apprehensive, however, our experience was very good and we would like to share some of the pro’s and con’s of this resort. It is worth pointing out that we stayed at the... more

We just came back from a brilliant week at the Monterey Resort, our teenagers loved it. The hill is very steep but, we saw it as a challenge and used it as part of our exercise regime. Safari is good for shopping and has a large Mini Golf complex and families of all ages. We stayed in B303/205 where the... more

I have just returned from Monterey, this was my third visit and since the apartments (well C206 anyway) have been refurbed I love it even more. The living, dining and kitchen areas have been completely redone which you will be able to see from my 2 different sets of pics....one last week and the other a couple of years ago.... more

Stayed in the main Club La Costa complex in the apartment directly above reception. Was clean and had everything we needed. As per usual I found the hot water dangerously hot and adjusted the thermostat on the hot water tank (it’s in the apartment and easy to do). Disappointed that immediately on arrival we got charged Euro 25 for each... more

If you are going here as part of a time share presentation, on a cheap holiday, I would say go for it. Yes its up a steep hill (but 3euros will get you back up) and yes you will have to give up time for a presentation. We joined but lots of others didnt and there was no hassle. They... more

Stayed for a week as part of a timeshare deal. This place is timeshare but they didn't harrass us at all, we were invited for breakfast and a tour, and when we said we weren't interested they left us alone. Firstly, this hotel is up a very steep hill (which the reps even call 'killer'), and there is very limited... more

Myself, my partner and my parents have just come back from Monterey and I cannot describe how wonderful the place is. Great service, friendly people and to top it off lovely sunshine all week. Cant fault the place and I will be returning someday. Only 10 mins walk to the seafront, shops and restaurants, lots to do and see! more
