Stayed in the main Club La Costa complex in the apartment directly above reception. Was clean and had everything we needed. As per usual I found the hot water dangerously hot and adjusted the thermostat on the hot water tank (it’s in the apartment and easy to do). Disappointed that immediately on arrival we got charged Euro 25 for each... more

If you are going here as part of a time share presentation, on a cheap holiday, I would say go for it. Yes its up a steep hill (but 3euros will get you back up) and yes you will have to give up time for a presentation. We joined but lots of others didnt and there was no hassle. They... more

Stayed for a week as part of a timeshare deal. This place is timeshare but they didn't harrass us at all, we were invited for breakfast and a tour, and when we said we weren't interested they left us alone. Firstly, this hotel is up a very steep hill (which the reps even call 'killer'), and there is very limited... more

Myself, my partner and my parents have just come back from Monterey and I cannot describe how wonderful the place is. Great service, friendly people and to top it off lovely sunshine all week. Cant fault the place and I will be returning someday. Only 10 mins walk to the seafront, shops and restaurants, lots to do and see! more

We stayed for 1 week in October, yes the apartments are on a very steep hill but we got a buzz out of managing to conquer it on a few occasions, not bad as were both in our fifties, depending on the room your staying in you may have another trek on your hands, that was the only down side... more

The place is great, other than up a steep hill and the little shop selling stuff, way over the odds. But would not recommend anyone to get involved with Club la Costa. This place is full of the reps selling the "time share" experience, which we have not enjoyed. more

Were just back 3 day ago from the Monterey and loved it. My dad has his time share here. There was 4 of us staying in the 1 bedroom apartment and it never seemed too small, the bedroom was really big, with a fold out double bed in the living area. The rooms where very clean and tidy and the... more

We have just returned from a week in this resort booked through RBS. There was no mention of 'timeshare' however we were quickly invited to a 'welcome breakfast' with a salesman. He turned out to be a nice guy and there was no problem. Just beware if you are not a CLC member - they will try to sell it... more

stayed at the ROYALE complex of the monterey with in laws on their vacation club points. complex is situated in mountains approx 20 mins walk from las americas or a couple of mins in a taxi. Hills are horrendous but after a few attempts we actually found it quite novel walking up them every day and it kept us fit.... more
