I have just returned from a week at the Torviscas Playa with my sister in law. We used the hotel as a base as we were "flat hunting". The food is superb, especially the fish selection in the evening. The menu rotates on Sundays - watch out for the ton and a half of prawns for your starters!! Breakfast eggs, omlettes and pancakes all cooked freshly for you while you wait. The food is endless and of a very high standard indeed - we would normally have had a couple of meals out in the evening but the food was too good!! Rooms are spacious and spotless as is the hotel. The bar prices though are very pricey but the staff are all exptremely friendly and obliging. The market a couple of minutes walk away at the harbour on Thursdays and Saturdays well worth a visit. Local buses are cheap and good fun. This is a beautiful island well worth exploring and the Torviscas is a superb base to do that.
