We have stayed at this hotel 13 times and find it the best of the ones we have visited including other 5 * and 4* hotels in Adeje and Playa de Las Americas. Staff are excellant and very attentive including those on reception. Rooms have been redecorated in the last 18 months and beds replaced and quilts supplied rather than... more

Having booked 7 nights at the Anthelia we checked out after just one and booked the remaining six at the truly 5 star Abama (see review of Abama). In summary:- - no one at the lobby to greet or help with bags (we were a party of 8 and delayed by 2hrs) - our booking had been mysteriously cancelled and... more

Stayed at this hotel for 7 nights with my wife and 2 daughters aged 7 and 3. What can I say, we all loved this Hotel. The grounds are beautiful and so well kept, the pools were all fantastic, the largest one is sea water and unheated and there is a good sized heated pool with loads of sunbeds though... more

After spending a wonderful 2 weeks at the 5 star Iberostar in Puerto Playa, Dominican Republic last June, we decided to try Iberostar again with a short holiday to Tennerife. We booked a seaview room directly through the Iberostar website, and included a "zen" spa package. After reading several of the reviews here, I thought it best to email the... more

Food was great, pools lovely, service fantastic, ambiance good, evening entertainment great. Rooms a bit small but ok. Not much culture in Tenerife but shopping ok. Still looking for the next holiday to match up to this one. Heather Hudson-Oldnall. Farnham. more

Stayed here Jan 2006. My husband and son aged just under 12 months at the time. As all have previous said you cannot fault the hotel, food, staff and the luxurious decor of the hotel and the various pool area. We booked a double (standard room) through Travel Republic for 2 weeks HB. The location was perfect for us -... more

Yes, it's expensive but I can honestly say that I've never stayed in a nicer hotel. The breakfast menu was fantastic and although we only ate a few times in the hotel in the evening, everything we had was wonderful. The staff were friendly and helpful without being in your face all the time. A classical guitarist in one of... more

Yesterday we (2 adults and one baby) returned from the Iberostar Grand Hotel Anthelia where we stayed to attend a wedding. The strong points of the hotel are the staff (friendly and professional), the architecture (beautiful village-like buildings with warm colours), the landscaping (very well tended gardens with palm trees and fountains everywhere - inside and out) and the food... more

We booked through an internet travel agency and asked for a standard double room without requesting any views. On our arrival we realised that we've been upgraded and got to stay in a duplex penthouse (Room 304 of the Daphne building) instead! This would be an ideal room to choose if you are planning your honeymoon in Anthelia. A large... more
