In an extensive trip throughout Spain, this hotel was one of the most expensive. For the price, the rooms were small and somewhat dark. No wifi offered, except in the lobby which is inconvenient and frankly quite shocking for hotels these days. Staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was very clean.

The hotel is small and the staff are friendly and helpful. Room was clean, with towels and comfortable beds. I stayed for only one night and I'm very thankful with the staff because they allowed me to stay more without paying anything. Wifi works in the living room. Good location in the city center.

Hostal is not a hostel. It is a very friendly small hotel. Very friendly staff, which dont speak english, just spanish. Rooms are nice, very clean, wifi only downstairs in lobby. Television and airco in the room. Rooms are cleaned everyday, clean towels.Hostal is next to the church.

This hotel was in a GREAT location!!! Right in the middle of everything going on in Tarifa. It is also in walking distance to the port that takes you to Morocco. The room was very clean but small. The owner was very nice & helpful but she speak little English. The only negative point is that the owner does not... More

Room was roomy and clean. WiFi available only in the lobby. Up an alley in old town near the castle. Wasn't expecting much, but old town is nice and comfortable. Convenient to the restaurants and night life of old town. Hotel is quiet and safe. Ferry to Morocco is a 5 minute walk away. The ferry back was cancelled due... More

Stayed here 2 nights early May. We were surprised by Tarifa, a very nice seaside town. We were only there for a sidetrip to Tangier, but Tarifa was full of nice restaurants, romantic small streets, a beautiful beach and even some decent shopping. This hotel is in the old part of town, very atmospheric. Great price, nice room with private... More

I really liked this hostel. It is situated in an alley running from the little square at the front of the church, so is right in the centre of the old town with plenty of cafes for breakfast. The room was reasonably large with a double bed, wardrobe with plenty of hangers and drawer space if you need to fully... More

So, we wanted somewhere to stay in Tarifa that was walking distance from the ferry terminal for a planned trip over to Tangier. There were not a lot of options available to us and it was with some trepidation that I booked a place called a "Hostal" and at the low price they were charging we travelled with low expectations.... What? We are going up this little alley to a hotel? What a wonderful find. If you want a clean simple quiet place to sleep and don't require a gym and pool this is it. The staff is friendly and helpful though their english is limited. It is also easy to find because it is very near the church square.... More

We stayed two nights at Hostal La Calzada which is very conveniently located in the old town. We happened to be there during Semanta Santa and the parade route was meters from the hostal. Since Tarifa is small and quickly seen we opted to take a day trip to Gibraltar which worked out well - about 15 minutes walk to... More
