We decided to visit Tarifa on our Spanish trip thanks to a glowing recommendation in the Rick Steve's guide. It's a great place to visit before or after the ferry ride to Tanger. Having booked the Punta Sur, supposedly the no. 1 hotel in Tarifa we were taken aback to discover it was the wrong side of the very busy road and looked rather unkempt.
