Had four nights at La Casa Amarilla before and after a week mountain bike around the area. The hotel is fantastic, a mixture of rustic but well maintained decoration. We were lucky to have a lovely room on the top floor, small but perfectly adequate and very quiet. The staff were so helpful and couldn't do enough for us, breakfast... More

Delightful place, clean, central to everything. Very friendly staff, excellent quality to price ratio and within a few minutes of the 'places to be'. This is the place to stay when in Tarifa to explore the town with its rich history and vibrant night life!

we've been to the casa amarilla mid Oct 12. Weather was still warm. We've had the big apartment with the lovely balconies to the street on the first floor above the restaurant. Room was big, clean, cosy, warm, nicely done, nice pictures and colours, also the light situation is well done. There are steel doors with a lot of glass... More

We stayed for two nights at this hotel and it was our least favorite place during a two week trip through Spain. The good thing was that it was very clean. However, we specifically asked for a quiet room and they gave us a room on the main street, on the second floor, and just on top of a bar... More

I've stayed here a few times - I like it. There is something a bit quirky about the place. It is not that easy to find but once you've stayed a few times it grows on you. Reception is not open full time 09.30 to 21.00'ish. There are no on site staff between those times so you just need to... More

The hotel was pretty but I think looked better in the pictures than in real life. We had booked a "suite" and we did get a large room with a small kitchenette, but it felt more like a self-catering studio apartment than a hotel suite. There was nothing fundamentally wrong with the room, as I said it was large, had... More

We went there in the begining of juli to celebrate our daughters 18 years birthsday and had booked a small "apartment" at Casa Amarilla. We had a seperate room and our daughter had a bed in the small livingroom. Quite a big place which also included a small kitchenette and fridge as well as A/C and a nice bathroom and... More

A great place to stay. Nice staff. Heaps of space. You can't do without the A/C it is great! Love the spanish style decorations. So close to everything in the old town. Don't bother paying for parking nearby, its more expensive than accommodation & you can get free public parking down near the beach, about a two minute walk. Only... More

Our 1st night in Tarifa we had a lovely room, so we were surprised when we returned 2 nights later and got a significantly worse room. #3 had stained glass, sufficient counter space and good windows. #9 had none of these, plus a rattley door and two twin beds just pushed together. There's no one there after 9 so you... More

we stayed at la casa amarilla in march 2012. we chose tarifa simply as a base for tangier and gibraltar. We loved this town. Turns out it might be my favorite place i visited in spain. Who knew Spain could have such a spectacular Atlantic coast beach. Everyones raves about Marbella. They can have Marbella. Tarifa is small, quaint, friendly... More
