First class location, grounds, rooms, and facilities. Everything in its own grounds on ground floor. Each "villa" is an excellent very large room with sofa and chairs and french windows to its own garden. Large bathroom. Ours had wonderful big RAIN SHOWER head. Villa reminded me of a posh Kibbutz with all the grounds. Great for kids... there were several... more

Lovely and large rooms, beautiful grounds, very nice swimming pool. We did not eat in the restaurant except for breakfast which was included and good. We did enjoy sitting out on the terrace for a drink in the evening; the numerous birds are very musical and lovely. Liked staying outside of Tarifa; did not find the city appealing. Their sister... more

The hotel is a little peace of heaven! Very clean! Lovely presentation! Stayed there for a week and enjoyed every minute of it! Definitely on our list of places to revisit! Had two teenagers and an 11 year old with us and they loved the pool and tennis court! There is like a little bird sanctuary in it where they... more

We stayed two nights in room 51 (superior double room; 140 Euro + tax / night; breakfast included in rate) The hotel is located about 10 minutes outside the city center. We had rented a car, so it didn't bother us to drive to the city. There are lots of free parking lots in convenient locations in the city too.... more

This is easily the best place to stay in Tarifa. Rooms are elegantly yet simply decorated. Wonderful pool and restaurant. Staff are very friendly too. Better than the Hurricane which in my experience had damp smelling rooms, rude staff and just felt a little run down and uncared for. more

Clearly this hotel was the most fun on our trip. Great location just a few km from town about a 100 meter walk from a secluded beautiful sandy beach (expect some nude sunbathers so if that bothers you go somewhere else). Staff was both friendly and helpful. Breakfast is free and quite good. Pool is huge- don't dive though because... more

We stayed here for 2 nights at end of half term. At first we were a little surprised by the layout of the hotel - we thought we were getting interconnecting rooms in a regular hotel but infact the accomodation is laid out in single storey units throughout spacious gardens. So our children who had a room of their own... more

We are regular visitors to Tarifa and have been going every year since 2001. We usually stay at the El Aguilon, a B&B (now closed because the owners have moved in) or have rented an apartment on the beach during our 5 week stays. We had tried to get into the Hurricane but it was booked and felt we were... more

We debated whether or not to stay in town or out of town when staying in Tarifa. After staying in Madrid and Seville, it was nice to stay at Punta Sur away from the city. It was a good break from staying in a city area (not that Tarifa is large or loud). A little bit of a pain to... more

We enjoyed our stay in the Punta Sur. The staff is very friendly, the place is well kept and the rates are fair. Downsides are the loctation and the bathrooms, which need a little renovation. Punta Sur lacks a little atmosphere, because it is not right at the beach and has the main road in front of it instead. When... more
