Great location, really good hotel, excellent food, brilliant staff who cannot do enough for you. We have stayed here for the second time now and we will return again in the near future. We stay half board through thomsons, the location is right by the sea with good views. Nerja is a lovely place with lots of little tapas bars... More

Just landed back in England a few hours ago. We haven't stopped talking about since we got back. This was our first holiday abroad together and it has been a memorable one at that. Riu Monica is a great place to go, the staff are really welcoming and friendly. The food is awesome! Loads to choose from and if you... More

We enjoyed our stay at the riu monica. We were on the 3rd floor on the west side,a good sized room, with nice balcony, with side sea view. we liked having the music available in the room, which was very pleasant.I didn,t like having to pay for the safe in the room, I think it should be in with the... Good four star hotel right on the beach and only a 10 minute walk to the Balcon de Europe. We were on the 6th floor facing west - room 646. The room was described as "side" sea view but that was something of an understatement in that while looking out directly from the balcony one looked out across roof tops... More

2nd time I've visited this hotel, last time 7 years ago. Great location, very good buffet food. Nice grounds. Entertainment dire, other than the Flamingo group which were superb. Hotel in need of some updating which I understand is planned this winter. Very handy bars across the road (particularly the ship) for cheap pre/post dinner drinks.

First visit to town and therefore hotel. Having read other reviews, we asked for and got a room on the 6th floor with good side view of sea and inland. Room well appointed; however the safe (for which I had to pay a little extra) was on the floor in the wardrobe and I did have to kneel on the... More

Some good points to this hotel, the lady i was checked in by was really good, hotel was busy so got room with morning sun, reasonably clean but obviously dated, and with a noisy neighbor, and the walls very thin and no sound insulation which as usual drives me nuts, grounds of Hotel i thought were very pleasant, terraced sunbathing... This hotel is well placed, far enough from the town to be quiet, but an easy ten minute walk takes you to the centre of the town and many more restaurants and bars, although there are quite a few close to the hotel if you don't want to pay 'hotel prices' for your food and drinks. Right on the beach... More

On our first visit to both this town and hotel can now highly recommend. Situated at the base of the town this hotel is perfectly situated for a taste of Spanish culture. The town is easily accessible on foot or by public transport. An array of street tapas bars , cafes, shops and apartments decorate winding streets that lead to... More
