The staff at the Hostal Bronce were friendly and very happy to help on arrival, and informed us that we had a great room down in the basement with a small courtyard. It was a lovely little room and ensuite, and very quiet. The terrace on the roof was what made the place for us - we sat up and sunbathed during the day, and drank cava bought from the supermarket while watching the sunset. The hostal was empty most of the week, with a few travellers staying every now and again, but it wasn't a place to meet people.
The town of Nerja is split into 3, the touristy bit to the west, the old town in the centre and the east which is a bit less polished, more sububan. Hostal Bronce is slap bang in the middle of the old town, a quiet area only about 5 minutes walk form Balcon de europa and the central beaches. It was wonderfully positioned within the town for the multitude of wonderful tapas bars.
