I have stayed here several times with my girlfriend and also friend. I pretty much echo a lot of the comments on here. The Veramar is well located at the quieter end of Fuengirola near the Castle. The staff have always been very helpful and the rooms have always been clean. It has a "last updated in the 80's" feel... more

Having stayed here 4 times now we know what to expect. This is a Spanish run appartment hotel, the reception staff do speak some English, but it's not that hard to learn a little Spanish is it? The first impressions of the Veramar is that it could do with brightening up, however what do you expect when you've paid £140... more

I stayed with a friend at the Veramar for a week on a relaxing girls holiday. Though the hotel is certainly not luxury it is adequate enough for people looking for a base from which to explore, or are on a tight budget. What we noticed is that there was a mix between British and Spanish holiday makers and the... more

Just got back from a 5 day stay at the Veramar. Hotel a bit dated but in a very good position for everything you are likely to need during your stay. The staff were very helpful in sorting out a problem with airport transfer. Did everything they could to help and got a result. The hotel is spotlessly clean and... more

Hotel was clean and basic which is exactly what u'd expect for the money. Maid service came round every other day. They offer a breakfast for 5 euros it is as much as u can eat but it tasted pretty terrible! My only other complaint was the bed it was the most uncomfartable bed ever! Overall the hotel is in... more

Just returned from Fuengirola on 25th July, 2008 myself and three teenagers, the only thing the Hotel Veramar has going for it is the location (very central) 3 minutes to the beach and promenade and 5 minutes to the centre. The hotel itself was very tired and dated, but nevertheless clean. Maid service seemed to be random and I had... more

My sister (17) and I (20) stayed at the Veramar for 7 nights and I was pleasantly surprised. I read the reviews before I went and admittedly I was worried. I had nothing to worry about. We were allocated room 511 it was overlooking the pool and you could see the beach from the our balcony. The room itself was... more

Although the facilities at the Veremar are basic (you get what you pay for) everything was spotlessly clean and the staff very friendly. If you do require extra items, from a toaster to an electric wheelchair, they are available to hire at a reasonable cost. Although the management put a notice in the room requesting guests not to put towels... more

I'm just back from a week in Fuengirola, first time for me and my partner, impressed by the resort, but unfortunately a week in the Hotel Veramar was enough, clean and basic, fair enough but the beds!!, we got a better sleep on the sun beds on the beach. Also i was not aware you could keep dogs in the... more

This was our second stay at Veramar, and having stayed there last year knew what to expect. This hotel is basic but is great as a base if you do not want to stay around the hotel and pool all day, although I noticed some people did this year. The rooms are basic apartements , so if you want to cater for yourself... more
