I have to leave Morocco every three months to renew my visa. A resident card in Morocco requires a visa to RETURN to Morocco...a pain. So every three months I cross to Algeciras and stay at this sweet little hotel. It's family run and very welcoming. I unfortunately speak very little Spanish, but the father, who mans the night desk,... More

I stayed here in July 2013. I'd heard Algeciras wasn't much of a place to see, but I really enjoyed it. I stopped here on my way through from Morocco, and needed to get chores done. We chose this hostal because it was close to the ferry to Morocco, the price was low, it got a decent review in the Rough Guide, and the better-rated hotels were not within walking distance of the port. We were glad that we stayed near the port, so we could scope out the ferry the night before and get there... More

Recently had the dubious experience of staying at this hotel. It is impossible to find by car. It took me many hours & many wrong directions to locate hotel? Staff do not speak English, which I was told they could. I made many phone calls to hotel for directions but was not able to communicate. The room I was eventually... More
