There was bad smell of prolong smoking in-room in the two rooms that we came across. We couldn't open the windows either, as there was noise from the heavy traffic on the main road. This hotel was awful... Bad, unpleased staff, dirty rooms, screaming nighboors at night and noisy traffic outside hotel are only some points about this hotel. The only good thing was the food...it was very good. If you have to go there, then eat paella...it was superb. more

Al Mar is a 3-star hotel in Algeciras, not too far from Gibraltar and literally right across the street from the pier where the ferries to Tangiers and Ceuta launch from.
