Plus- comfortable bed, good cable tv with English channels, ok wifi, quiet room, fridge that worked, nice view of mountain from out front of building. Minus- long uphill walk from town, breakfast room stinky (didn't try the breakfast), towels tiny, shower cold, the exchange rate much higher than actual rate on the day (although the receptionist did call the boss... We booked the 2 room suite for one night which was perfect for 2 couples traveling together. The hotel is located on a hill and it is best if you arrive by car. There is street parking for the car in front of the hotel. The hotel was very clean. The suite had 2 large beds one in each room... More

Pros- We arrived to Vila Sinaia by car, and thanks to the good signposting it was easy to find it without a map. The receptionist was nice as so the morning lady at the breakfast who did not know english but we manage to make ourselves understood. Breakfast was good for the price we paid. We received a big room... More

The hotel is located in upper part of Sinaia. You need a car to get to the Pelesh Castle or the main city. If you are looking for a solitude place in Sinaia, then this is the place with the Alex good Hungarian restaurant 50 meters away. Rooms are very nice, but you need to climb many many stairs.

We turned up here unexpectedly after a problem with the place we were meant to be staying for our final night, and it couldn’t have been better. The rooms are warm and beautiful – recently done up and with character – and the service was friendly and efficient (and English-speaking). There’s also a lovely view of the mountains, although it... I have stayed twice so far with a newborn and plan to book it in the future as well. It provides you with the old charm of Sinaia's monarch period, while offering up to date services. As a tip, I would recommend booking either the downstairs suite or the double bedroom upstairs, both offering a "foaier" where you can have... More

In October 2013 my husband and I decided to visit Romania. We were so lucky to find this great place to stay for three amazing days. We spend a wonderful weekend in Vila Sinaia 1929. The villa is at very good location - you can enjoy the nature and the views; the city center and the Peles castle are within... More

The place is elegant, classy, without ostentation and it quickly brings you back in time to a golden, royal era. The view from our room was magnificent and we enjoyed also the touching care of the personnel. Everything seemed to have fallen into place and when it did not, the staff was ready to oblige. A good breakfast, in the... More

In historical neighborhood of Sinaia (Furnica), you will find a villa with character, build at 1929, fully renovated and refurbished in 2011. Spacious rooms, quietness, and the stunning views will make your stay a pleasure.Sinaia is more than a city. Culture combined with entertainment, art with sports, classic and modern architecture makes Sinaia one of the most well-known mountain destination in Romania. After King Carol the 1st of Romania made his residence in Sinaia by building one of the greatest castles in the world (Peles Castle), all the good people of his court and rich people of Romania started to build holiday houses around the castle. Vila Sinaia 1929*** is one of them. It was build in 1929 by a very wealthy and educated businessman and his wife as a holiday house for themselves and their friends. In 1947, the communist regime confiscated all their properties. Their grandsons, after 1989 Romanian Revolution, after several years of justice with Romanian State, succeeded to get back this property. They were renovated it and opened the doors for you to feel the perfume of old Sinaia and Romanian hospitality. ... more   less
