We booked this "hotel"on the strength of the excellent reviews on Tripadvisor. One can only imagine that previous reviewers stayed elsewhere. En route there are no signs and nor are there any on the building. Would agree the place was built during communist times, but has not been updated since. Very tired looking everywhere, furniture and carpets old and stained.... More

I have been there many times in winter as well as in summer. The view is just amazing. The hotel itself was build during communist time but kept well. It is visible that the owner spend money. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff friendly. I will return

Situated near the street to teleski at 1400 meters high, with an excellent panoramic view of the Prahova Valley, with nice services, good meals and many nearby attractions. Very good prices. I highly recommend.

We traveled to Sinaia in May over the weekend. The location is great and the hotel owners know this so the prices are adjusted based on this great advantage. We had vouchers, but the hotel listed prices at the reception were very high compared to the offered services. You can tell that the hotel was built back in the communist... More

It was during summer when we were there, me and my wife with other 2 couples from France. It's a cosy place, simple but warm and frindly. The sightseing is amazing, the air is fresh, the food in the restaurant is very good and traditional, also fresh. You also have a sauna and you can have a massage at a... More

I've been in the restaurant past 2 years and it has always been a positive experience. The place is located at ground level but you have to go down (and there are no signs) two flights of stairs to the restaurant however the trip is worth it. It is far better and more elegant then the other places at Cota... More

We booked it via booking.com but when we got there they said they declined our request for reservations. In the end they found 2 rooms as requested (travelling with friends), they said the last ones. We checked in but in 20 minutes we decided to check out. The rooms were very run down, very old furniture, in bad shape, very... More

It's a nice and clean 3 stars hotel. It's location worths every penny. A few minutes away from the "Drumul de vara" slope and "Platou Cota 2000" . A very good serbian restaurant "Taverna Sarbului" it's 3-4 km away. I recommend driving to this restaurant, in the evening, because of the wild animals danger (ex: bears). PELES Castle it's also... I stayed many times at this hotel! Each time I had something to say to the receptionist! But each-time they solve the issues! The have a good position (at 1400 meters altitude), near the ski resort, near the ski-lift, near the forest, near of everything you need in a leisure escapade! A good point for them it is the fact... I live and work abroad and I only come to Romania for holidays. This november I travelled a lot around Romania and also stopped for a weekend at Cota 1400 - Sinaia. Picked up this hotel for two reasons. First - the location - away from the hussle and bussle of the town and second for the value of money... More
