Unfortunately, closed in November for cleaning and maintenance but still a beautiful place to visit with all the surroundings and gardens. Even in the winter time. Has an amazing atmosphere about it and has some cafes and restaurants around. The Sinaia region is full of pretty spots and you can explore a bit if you want. It's certainly a castle... More

Ok. We came here as part of a tour. The Castelul Pestilor was interesting and I would recommend the self guided tour. We had a guide and we couldn't hear her and she just described the name of the room. No extra info. The place was busy and when we got separated from our group, the attendants were not helpful.... The queue for tickets was “only” 20 minutes, but then the hassle began. At ticket counter we were told, that there would be an English language-tour every 15 minutes, but we ended up waiting 45 minutes at the entrance door. We were not allowed to join an Italian language tour, which departed much earlier, though we didn’t care about the... More

Well worth to visit. Lovely surroundings, high details of craftsmanship and a perfect storehouse of beautiful furniture. Perfect example of a well kept castle. When visiting don't forget to allocate time for the grounds also.

Visiting this location is a must for aunyone staying in Sinaia. The place is beautiful and full of history. Fits in beautifully with the rest of the landscape. There are a lot of people there, locals or staff, ready at any time to tell you things about the history of this castle. v

Beautiful place, well worth the visit. One of the most stunning castles I have visited with the highest level of craftsmanship and elegance. The extended guided tour is worth its price too. A tip is to go early in the morning as crows tend to arrive around noon making the visit a little less enjoyable.

One of the most beautiful places I've seen, situated in lovely surroundings. Make sure you do not miss a tour of the castle where you can see many nice things and learn about this place. I highly recommend it.

This castel is a storehouse of exquisite & priceless pieces of furniture artefacts from all over the world . Since the king is a collector he has done a fantabulous job of it . Pretty garden to go with it too . Go early before the bus load of tourist arrive coz it does get crowded & there can be... More

Must see castle! You can wait for an English tour. You pay for each floor so we only paid for the first floor tour which was about 45 minutes. You need to pay extra to take pictures. I enjoyed it. Everything in the castle was beautiful.

One of the most beautiful settings in the world, and a fine 'castle' that King Carol built. I wasn't sure it was worth the RON 50 they wanted for a tour, so we stayed outdoors and took pictures. Not exactly well-marked coming in through Sinaia from the main Bucharest-Brasov road. But worth the journey.
