Nazare sounded like the perfect stop for a night and a room on the ocean for 27 Euros could not be beat. The place was clean our room very small with a double bed and one side chair with just enough room to move around them both - one person at a time. The ocean view was only when we... More

You can imagine yourself back in the 1930s, my twin room had wooden floor and ceiling almost like a ship as was the staircase (no lift) only 3 floors, lovely restaurant and separate breakfast room. Forget the concrete and plastic hotels and stay in something with character.

I'm sorry because I stayed only one night. Next time i will book a full week. Everything was perfect, the room was spacious , clean, with private bathroom, tv and free wi-fi; the restaurant on the ground floor was delicious and I decidet to have both lunch and dinner to taste their fish courses. Out the door, cross the street... More

We had a large room that had a second sitting room with a small ocean view. It was nice to be able to open the window and hear the ocean. The room was basic and clean and a great value. The wifi did not seen to work in our room though.

It's always nice to have dinner or lunch near the window with the ocean and the beach on sight! The location is really very nice! The food is good, with some interesting dishes on the menu, specially sea related food. Nevertheless, you could expect a bit more from the staff, who sometimes don't pay you enough attention, even if the... More

Located across from the beach. Small rooms, but on the charming side. View of full moon over ocean and roof tops delightful. We had a budget room ($29) on third floor (no elevator), breakfast not included at this price, but well worth what we paid. Parking can be a challenge. Hotel has a few garages for additional 10EC/day. Town has... More

My wife and I spent Christmas with our son who is currently living and teaching in Spain, The reason we traveled to Portugal was to check out some of the well known surfing areas of the country. Nazare is one of those places with big waves and clean beaches. We weren't disappointed. We wanted to stay right on the beach... More

Hotel at the price of a hostel, our backpacking trip was nicely broken up when we stayed here for two nights and had our own room. It is located right on the beach with staggering views and situated at the north end of the beachfront in an ideal location right accross from the main beach. Definately a good bet for... More

Went there with my girlfriend in july 2008 (can't choose july 2008 in the date drop menu for some reason). This charming hotel has an excellent location just by beach. Beds are good too. The hotel's restaurant was ok, but don't expect to many vegetables in your meals (mainly meat/fish with the usual iceberg salad, onions and tomatoes), but then... More

Such a charmingly modest place, with easy-going and helpful staff, this hotel was a God-send after a long drive. We prolonged our stay day after day and are planning a return to the quirky little village of Nazare. Rooms were old and basic but this was not a negative! Side view of sea and soft old bed, you could spend... More
