This hotel is in a great location right on the seafront. It was my birthday and we were in search of the giant waves (which were in hiding)! Our first morning we woke up to no hot water, however the staff dealt with it admirably and let us shower at their sister hotel a five minute walk away. When we... More

We went to Portugal for a week during the Christmas break. We left a couple of nights open (no prior hotel reservations). We choose Hotel Mar Bravo on one of those nights. the hotel is moderately priced and, although apprehensive at first, we were not disappointed. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful in suggesting restaurants and sites... More

We stayed in this hotel for four nights and had a room with side view to the ocean. The cleanliness of the room was ok but definitely not perfect, the matresses were good (separate matresses in a double bed). The (included) breakfast was ok and the service always friendly. An advantage is that you can rent beach towels, chairs and... More

The staff was very friendly. The bed was comfortable and had down comforters and the temperature was very comfortable. The room and bedding smelled good there were no odors. The room is kind of small, but had a view of the ocean from the balcony. The staff spoke English. Breakfast was included, but basic. I enjoyed my stay and would... More

My wife and I, and two friends, stayed one night at the Hotel Mar Bravo in October 2013. The entire staff, especially Sabrina, could not have been friendlier or more helpful. Sabrina let us store luggage and check in early, and upgraded us to a balcony room with a view of the ocean and the square below. The rooms were... More

This hotel is very well located in the center of Nazare. It is right on the town square, which means it can be noisy on weekend nights. The rooms are small and sparse. Our room was not clean; there were numerous long, dark hairs on the floor of both the bedroom and bathroom. The towels were thin. One had to... More

This hotel has an excellent location with beach views but our room overlooked the street and was very noisy. The rooms are small and sparsely decorated. The small balcony allowed us to sit and enjoy the views as a couple but again too small to really relax. Breakfast was my least favorite on this 12 day trip . We could... More

In a good location with the beach in front and close to several reataurants. Room i very small indeed. Hardly any space to put suitcases. Barthroom tiny with a miniscule shower. Very overpriced for what is offered. I paid less at the 5 star Bussaco Palace which offered enormous rooms and bathrooms, a wonderful champagne breakast and fabulous surroundings.

Beautiful rooms with full bath. Free WiFi in rooms. Location is perfect with views of the beach. We were facing the square and despite blackout curtains, was a bit light coming through. Also, a bit noisy at night, which is really the only reason why it is 4 stars instead of 5. Our room was behind the elevator and could... More

Nazare is a busy Portuguese beach town with little to do but spend time on the pretty but very crowded beach or eat. The Mar Bravo offers little to an American tourist. The hotel has one small undistinguished common room one floor up. The hotel is devoid of any design esthetic. It is basic. The rooms are small and the... More
