Every time I book a hotel/b&b I check the trip advisor reviews - as I used to think they were reliable as giving an overall rating of the place. Well in this instance I seriously question the previous good reviews and the 4/5 cleanliness rating!! Exterior of building looks well. Have to enter through pub, which is dark and everyone... More

We stopped in Aughrim on our Ireland vacation as this was where a good friend of ours grew up. We loved our stay at Meath Arms and were treated like family. The rooms were beautiful and we especially enjoyed the master suite with the beautiful updated bathroom. My other family members stayed in equally great rooms at the inn. Breakfast... More

Aughrim was the first night of our weekend wicklow adventure. It's a quiet but pleasant place. Have been to other quiet spots that were full of Wicker man type locals but here they were friendly. The Meath Arms is a lovely old house, well maintained with comfortable rooms. We got a polite reception and enjoyed a drink at the bar... More

A welcoming and comfortable family-run establishment. Great customer service too- the manager Gerry was extremely pleasant. Our double room was nicely decorated, had a sleek new bathroom and a pleasant view towards the beautiful surrounding Wicklow countryside.

This was my very first night in Ireland and really did not know quite what to expect. But was I in for a pleasant surprise, a fantastic Irish pub. Really friendly staff & locals. Room adequate size, old fashioned high bed. Excellent shower. The breakfast was the "Full Irish", what an experience. Parking was on the street, but I was... More

We stayed here for a wedding that was on in Brooklodge. From the reviews, we were not expecting much but we were very pleasantly suprised. The entrance way and stair wells are a bit old fashioned looking but the rooms were lovely. There was plenty of space and lovely decor. The people running the B&B were lovely, very friendly and... We stayed in in one of the suites, amazing value, not what I expected at all. A real little gem and such an amazing room and bathroom. Would highly recommend for a place to lay your head if attending a wedding in the area. Thanks to Gerry,

We stayed here while attending a wedding at Brooklodge. It was fine for what we wanted - somewhere to sleep. Room is quite small (only room for a bedside locker on one side) and I was a bit annoyed that the upgrade we had booked wasn't available when we arrived. But it was fine as a place to rest your... Stayed here for a couple of nights as we were attending a wedding at the nearby Ballybeg House. The rooms are clean and well appointed. There was absolutely no problem with us returning at a very late hour either night that we were there. Breakfast was very nice. I had the full Irish but you can ask for something different.... More
