I've stayed in many country house hotels but this is the first that compelled me to write a review. All of the other comments are true and more. My family (mother and two sisters) spent the penultimate night of our 2 week holiday at Clone House. We were seeking a special environment in which to celebrate the end of our... More

Áine and Liam made our stay an unforgettable one. We were looking for a night away from Dublin, and Clone House in the south of the wicklow Mountains was the perfect choice. The booking just one day in advance was no problem, we were able to choose one of the only four rooms that are also presented on their website.... More

We spent two fabulous nights in October 2011 at Clone House and would highly recommend it. The rooms are luxurious and stylishly decorated, we slept so well. The food was excellent our hosts were even kind enough to make last minute changes to take account of my wife's pregnancy. Breakfast redefined the description of "full Irish", they were magnificent. It... More

We stayed at Clone House last weekend I have to say it was the best Hidden House we were so lucky to fined. We just loved it there, the hosts Liam and Aine were fabulous, the food was devine the attention to detail had nothing left out. Just to sit by the open fire was lush and the candel lit... More

We went to Clone house last weekend for a second time having gone once before just as they opened last year! All I can say is that it was a wonderful experience. And it truly is an experience unlike any other I've had. It's like stepping back in time to a different age, an age without television and all the... More

Clone house was everything we hoped it would be, we had a gorgeous large room with beautiful views which was perfect for lazing around with the Sunday Newspapers, Downstairs you could also relax in the lovely lounge or the back parlour and cosy up to a roaring fire! You also need to avail of the walks in the beautiful countryside... More

Atmospheric historic house, superb food, wonderful hosts; we enjoyed every moment of our stay and came away thoroughly relaxed and somewhat heavier! The house is part 17th century; cosy rooms with wood panelling and part Georgian; high ceilings and bay windows – the drawing room and parlour both have log fires. It has been recently and tastefully renovated. Four amazing... More

Just back form a couple of wonderful days in Clone house. It's very hard to find fault with the setup here. We were welcomed at the front door by Liam & Aine and given a brief tour of the drawing and dining rooms before being lead to our bedroom, the Glen of Imaal room complete with bay windows and a... I’m almost hesitant to write this glowing review as I’m afraid Clone House will soon be discovered by all and will therefore no longer remain the hidden magical gem I discovered last weekend! I cannot give high enough praise to this manor house. From the second you meet Liam at the door a magical experience begins that is truly healing... More
