We stayed for a couple of nights to see Uisneach as well as County Cavan on our way to Galway. This is a very nice B&B and Anne and Warwick are wonderful hosts. The B&B is an old Irish county home from the time of the ascendancy and has been in the same family for well over a century. While... More

Mornington House is the kind of place that people pay to visit, yet you can stay there. Warwick and Anne are excellent hosts who make a very special experience with bits of local history and family history. We opted for dinner, which we would absolutely recommend. We had a four-course dinner with smoked salmon, carrot soup, chicken in herb sauce,... More

Mornington is a retreat in every way. .. The beauty of the house and surroundings were matched only by the superb hosts in Warrick and Ann. The food, professionalism and attention to detail ensures that we had a most memorable first (and definitely not our last) stay. Go for the full board !!!

We arrived at Mornington House after a long journey starting early in that morning from Copenhagen. The light was fading as we took the approach road to the House and our car developed a fault. As we entered Anne was giving a very in depth talk on history, which at any other time would have been appreciated. Warwick spotting we... More

Thank you so much for your review. We always look forward to hearing from our guests and we appreciate your feedback on your stay at Mornington House. Firstly, we must apologise that you did not get the same ‘Mauve’ room that you were expecting. We gave you the larger ‘East’ Room, thinking that you might prefer the bigger room but... More

We booked a front room at this lovely old house as it was the perfect distance from Dublin port. The house was warm and welcoming and Warwick showed us into a comforable bedroom with windows on three sides all snugly protected with shutters. Our bathroom was magnificent, complete with a bath, shower and armchair. Dinner was simple and delicious served... More

Thank you so much for your kind review. We are so glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. We do hope that you enjoyed the blackcurrant jam and you've had a chance to try the brown bread recipe. We look forward to seeing you again if you are visiting the area. Best wishes, Warwick and Anne More

The grounds are very nice, the tea perfect, and the Warwick's reception very warm. We didn't get to sample Anne's dinner, opting instead for a simpler meal in the village, but she has an excellent reputation and the breakfast the next morning was the best we had in Ireland. I need to mention too that Warwick took extra trouble for... More

We created a tour of Ireland and stayed at Manor Houses and this was our last stop, and well worth the wait. The house was magnificent and the property took you back to an earlier time in history with a walled garden and a beautiful garden. The hosts were delightful and attentive, but did not intrude on our efforts to... More

We chanced upon Mornington on Booking.com, not realizing what a special and unique place it was. We were treated like family throughout. We were shown to our room as if it had always been our own - although I don't remember staying anywhere so comfortable and calm. The dinner was delicious - Anne really knows her stuff. Yes, it's quite... More

We stayed here for our last stop in Ireland before returning home, so we had stayed in several old manor houses before arriving. This was one of our favorite stops. The house is not a hotel, but a home, with family photos on the piano and owners who know the history because it is their life-story. We had a very... More
