We found a gem of a B&B when we booked McCormacks Guesthouse. The hosts Tom and Margaret were welcoming, friendly and very accommodating, we couldn't have asked for more. Our room was beautiful, plenty of room for the whole family with a beautiful sparkling clean ensuite. The breakfast was very generous with choice of fruit, yoghurts, cereal, fruit juices followed... We stayed there for one night recently and would be happy to go back there again. We may do so on our next visit to Ireland if we are in that part of the country. The room was quiet and clean, good breakfast and the guest-house is dog friendly. Our dog enjoyed his doggy bag from the nearby hotel where... More

Charming B&B on the outskirts of Mullingar (20 minutes walk into town or a 5 minute drive). Friendly owners, clean room (I had number 2) with big bathroom and a delicious Irish breakfast (no need for me to have lunch as it kept me going through to dinner!). Of two single beds in the room, one was way too soft... More

Stayed at McCormack's for one night while attending an awards ceremony at the Mullingar Park Hotel. Tom gave us a very warm welcome on our arrival, the bedroom was large and most comfortable with more than adequate tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast is not tied to any specific time, we could choose what time we wanted it which was... More

Make sure you've found it on the map before tackling county road at night (sunset by 6 pm in Feb) - same road changes name partway. Very welcoming hosts, graciously made not complaint about our late arrival due to getting lost. Our room was perfect for a family with 2 adult sons travelling together: a double + 2 twins, spacious:... More

Stayed at McCormack's Guesthouse on Friday 26th and Saturday 27th September 2014. We were attending a wedding at Mullingar Park Hotel - this hotel is literally 5 minutes walk from the guesthouse over a roundabout - and chose this spot because of this. We are a family of 4 with 2 young children (2 and 5). Tom and Margaret couldn't... More

Tom and his wife were very helpful with room specific requests etc. B&b is reasonably priced. Rooms are clean and comfortable, if a little dated in decor. TV channels were limited to Irish ones which is unusual these days. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment. Good tea/coffee facilities with wrapped biscuits left which was a nice touch.

We booked this accommodation blindly and were surprised at the quality of everything, starting with the warmth of the reception, the quality of our room, the availability of a computer in the lounge together with games etc etc and for our convenience the excellent broadband which allowed us to communicate with the rest of the world from our room. The... More

Stayed for one night travelling through for work. The guesthouse is situated a little out of town but the landlady helpfully booked a taxi to get us into town for an evening meal. The room was large and comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was served at a time to suit our needs. The breakfast was lovely and Ii would definitely... More

The gentleman owner was very hospitable and generous. He explained to us when we were paying that breakfast was not included in our booked rate -not explained to us by his wife!!. The porridge was good but the rest of the breakfast was poor quality- the brown bread was very disappointing! The place was a bit dated-surprised as website says... More
