I had read a number of reviews here about the hotel before I booked rooms - I was a little wary but no-one seemed to have a problem with the hotel itself..so out of necessity I said Id chance it.. The parking is atrocious, but to be fair, there is a substantial public carpark around the corner which is not... More

We have just returned from a weekend at the Newbury, travelling with a group of friends. The hotel was very clean, the food (especially the freshly cooked breakfasts) was good and the location was perfect for the town and walks along the canal. The staff were friendly and very helpful, especially Hannah who handled our booking. One of our group... More

Stayed here on 1st March as part of a hen. Arrived at 4pm to a full car park, to be informed our room was not ready, the lady on the desk then tried to overcharge us, when we stated this she offered no apology and was just plain rude. While waiting in reception the desk was mostly unmanned and when... More

Stayed in the Newbury Hotel overnight as we were attending a charity function in Mullingar, this is one of the friendliest hotels I have ever stayed in... on booking in my friend asked what time breakfast was served and was told don't worry we start at 7-30 and whatever time you want to have it , thats fine... Amazing, but... More

Had another great stay in this hotel. As always the owners/staff greet you with such a warm friendly feeling. The food here is always so tasty, Love the breakfast which really sets you up for your day ahead. The rooms are very spacious and spotless and the En-suite has shower & bath. Central to everything you would need, ie Pubs/Restaurants/Shopping... More

This is a great hotel if visiting Mullingar. Stayed for a flying visit, literally bed and breakfast. Rooms were immaculate, great power showers over bath, comfy beds, lovely bedclothes and lots of space. After a big sleep-in the hotel provided cooked breakfast at 12noon, for which we were very grateful. Staff all very friendly and smiley. Walking distance to shops,... More

Stayed in this hotel for the weekend of April 4th to 6th and had a lovely time. Our room was light and airy and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was very good. We also had lunch there on the Saturday and it was perfect. The hotel is very centrally located on a busy high street with a good selection of restaurants and... More

This hotel wouldnt be a bad place if the customer service was improved. A LOT. The reception from the owners themselves leaves a lot to be desired and from what I can see they have trained the staff into their way of working. I was NOT one bit impressed with the way me and indeed others from our group were... More
