We managed to find this B&B by chance whilst driving through Mullingar, and we received a warm welcome and were shown up to a lovely double room with ensuite bathroom. There was plenty of space, wifi and clean towels. The B&B is a short drive to the town, where the owners gave us some recommendations on where to eat, and... More

We stayed at Novara House B&B when we were unable to get access to our reserved B&B in another town due to a mistake of the owner. It was just as well. We were warmly welcomed at Novara House and offered a cup of tea and conversation in the kitchen with the host. This B & B is in a... More

We stumbled upon a gold mine when we stayed at the Novara House for 3 nights while searching for family history and grave sites in Counties Meath and Westmeach. First and foremost, Margaret and Richie are first rate hosts, amiable in every way, who provide super comfortable rooms (we overslept until 9 am first night!!) with lovely layered neutral-colored multi-textured... I stayed in Novara House for two nights when attending a wedding in Mullingar. Everything thing from start to finish was excellent. There was six of us in total staying and Margaret and Richie did everything they could to make us feel at home, countless cups of tea/coffee, lovely breakfasts and lots of chat about the area. Novara has a... More

We attended a wedding in the locality and were treated well by Margaret even before we got there in how our booking was handled: then had wonderful scones with tea/coffee on arrival, a very comfortable room and a hearty breakfast next morning. Richie even helped out by lending cuff links! Would not hesitate to stay again if in the area.... More

Mullingar was our first location in Ireland and we really enjoyed our stay in the Novara House! The service and the room were great! And it was really a very charming and friendly atmosphere! We were happy to stay there and would choose it again.

Richie and Margaret opened their home to us at the last minute to accommodate our needs. The rooms were spacious, open, and had fabulous showers! Richie and Margaret were very friendly and easy to talk with, it made us feel very welcome during our stay. My family and I definitely recommend this B&B!

My friend and I spent one night at Novara House on our way from the West Coast of Ireland to Dublin for our flight. We had to leave early in the morning to get to the airport, but were still given a great welcome and a lovely breakfast. The room was very comfortable and well equipped. The only problem we... More

If you travel from Dublin to the West of Ireland (or vice versa), this is a good place to stay overnight. Margaret is really nice and will offer you a tea or coffee with some cookies. You have several options for breakfast, we chose fruit and yoghurt which was very good.
