We stayed here last week, it is just up from the beautiful picturesque village of Ardmore. The hostess Jeanette and her family were best hosts you could wish for. We were greeted on arrival with tea and delicious homemade porter cake. Nothing was too much trouble, her homemade brown bread and white soda bread were gorgeous, we left with the... More

Ideal location for anyone looking for somewhere comfortable and affordable walking distance from the cliff walk, pubs and Cliff House Hotel. Jeanette is a lovely hostess, very hospitable and welcoming. She gave us a high-vis and flashlight which made our short stumble home from the pub very safe, and the fresh mackerel option for breakfast was a real treat! Highly... More

WE enjoyed a one night stay at Duncrone in June. Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful. The home is a beautiful, modern home set on an acreage just outside Ardmore. The views of the bay and the countryside were lovely. We appreciated the quiet of the location and the comfort of the rooms. The rooms were very spacious, well... More

Welcome and service were second to none at this family run accomodation. Location and views are outstanding in a beautiful part of Ireland, with the lovely fishing village of Ardmore within easy walking distance. Food was excellent with a good selection of breakfast choices (including fresh mackerel caught by the family, the previous day). Nothing is too much trouble for... More

We stayed at Duncrone for one night on our way from County Wicklow to Kinsale. When we arrived in the evening, Jeanette had tea and a delicious porter cake awaiting us. We took an evening walk in Ardmore, and then relaxed in the comfy lounge before having a restful night on a very comfortable mattress. in the morning, Jeanette prepared... More

We have just finished a two week tour of Ireland staying in 8 different B&B’s, all priced between 60€ to 80€ / night. I want to start by saying that every single accommodation was more than adequate and I would certainly not put any of them below a 3 rating. One important point is that on-site parking was an essential... More

Duncrone B&B must be one of the loveliest places to stay in the whole of Ireland, for the B&B - run by Jeanette and her charming family, seems to me the very exemplar of Irish hospitality. My bus arrived in the early morning and Jeanette collected me from the bus stop. She showed me to my room which was bright,... More

I have being visiting Ardmore since before I was born and have passed through every B&B in the village at this stage. I can honestly say that Duncrone is the very best. The house is situated a short 15 minute walk from the village and enjoys most lovely location overlooking Armore's beautiful three beaches as well as the 10th century... More
