Nice old castle with amazing furniture, very old and upperclass until you see your room... We had booked a lastminute offer, the staff was very snooty and our 'family room' was a small one with old and dirty beds. We are near by the kitchen and the staff rooms, maybe we had a staff room? Our beautiful view go to... More

We spend a night in the hotel. The good parts: The hotel look nice outside and the overall surroundings are beautiful. The staff was nice and well mannered. Clean and warm room. Good free wifi in the room. Did not eat at the restaurant, but the food in the bar was good. Breakfast - standard irish, nothing special but good.... More

I traveled to the Abbey Hotel for some relaxation and used the leisure facilities. The pool was fantastic, the steam room, sauna and plunge pool were just fantastic. I love the whole feel of the place and it was even better as the lights came on that evening. Food in the restaurant was wonderful. The staff were great and the... More

Attended a wedding here. Food was fabulous, fresh and plentiful. Lovely staff and everywhere in the hotel was spotlessly clean. Good location and easy to find. Amazing grounds and a lovely atmosphere in the hotel.

Stayed at the hotel last week. After a four hour drive we arrived to a warm welcome and a free room upgrade. This never happens to us but on this occasion it did and what a room. Big, airy, very clean and comfy bed. The breakfast was very good and dinner in the restaurant amazing. Best food we have tasted... More
