Fred Pendlebury , Oakville, N.S.W. Australia My visit to Castle Blayney was to follow up on my family history. I am the 10th great grandson of the original settler in Castle Blayney whose name was Sir Edward Blayney, Prior to my visit I advised the hotel and was delighted to receive back that a local historian would be made available... Stayed here in March . Was very unsatisfied to say the least . When I received my bedroom key the bedroom number was so faded that when I went looking for my room I wasn't sure which exact room it was because the number was so faded and because of this I had to try two different bedrooms and ended... The hotel though comfortable and clean needs a little updating. The food is typical hotel food at the bar but nothing special. Good breakfast and what makes this hotel stand out is their great service.Stayed here for business and would return. Only problem is the wifi which works fine in rhe lobby but not in all rooms. Ask about a... More

I booked the room for my parents (70+). Very welcoming staff who were and eager to please. Entire hotel was very comfortable. Room was pleasant and comfortable. They found the room a little dark for reading but were too shy to say anything at reception, instead taking off the lamp shade! No tea making facilities in room, instead fresh tea... More

Returned from a memorable weekend stay in this fabulous hotel. On arrival we were welcomed by a very friendly receptionist and minimal paperwork. As it was a special occasion our son had previously called the hotel to ask for an upgraded room which he said was agreed promptly with no additional charge. We were impressed with the large room we... More

Having taken a wrong turn, we arrived in nearby Monaghan quite late to find everything sold out. The desk at the Hotel called ahead to Glencarn and secured us a room at a reduced rate. We were greeted by the most cheerful front desk staff and directed to our spacious room with a large bathroom and full sized tub. We... More

I attended a wedding at the Glencarn Hotel at the weekend (19th October). The food was amazing with very generous portions and I was served by the nicest and kindest woman by the name of Teresa. She was extremely helpful and went out of her way to accommodate a child we had at our table. If every hotel I visited... More

We stayed at the hotel on 9th & 10th September 2013 & absolutely loved it. We were made very welcome upon arrival & it just got better. All staff were very friendly & nothing was a bother. We were supposed to have a 3 course meal on one night, but had eaten "a snack" at nearby Concra Wood golf club... More

We would recommend the Glencarn Hotel without question! We had a family get together on the 26th September 2013 for 3 nights, there were 10 of us & we found our experience in the Glencarn Hotel, just fantastic! Lorraine on reception initially took our booking & fit us all in, even though the hotel was pretty busy that weekend &... More
