We stayed here for my grandmothers funeral who was a neighbour of the owners. On arrival the heating was on, timber next to the stove, we were blown away by how lovely the cottage is and decorated to the highest standards. There was a few bottles of ale left there for us which my brother really enjoyed. We didn't even... More

We travelled around Ireland and stayed in a few "self catering cottages" but NONE could come close to this place! Fantastically renovated with many upgrades, it still retains its country charm. Quiet and peaceful, it is wonderful to see the cows at the fence in the morning and the area provides for a safe and picturesque area to have great... More

Spent a week at Darley cottage with my husband, 2 girls and my husbands parents who travelled from New Zealand.....we choose Darley Cottage for its central location as we wanted to do day trips to Belfast, Wicklow, Slane and surrounding areas. What a wonderful cottage, words cannot describe how beautiful it is and it so big. Duncan and Rhona have... More

Darley Cottage really is a hidden gem set in the middle of beautiful, peaceful countryside not far from many of our relatives. We feel that the photos do not do justice to this gorgeous cottage, it is much bigger, brighter, cleaner and fresher than it looks online. The cottage has so much to offer, a lot of which is mentioned... More

Spent a long weekend at the cottage while competing in the Irish Open Indoor Archery Championships. Lovely accommodation, with everything you could need. Really enjoyed lighting the fire and playing cards in the cosy surroundings. Duncan was really helpful and made sure we had everything we needed.

Just on our way home after spending a week at Darley Cottage. The house is a beautifully renovated cottage in the countryside. It's gorgeous, comfortable and perfect for a family holiday. The setting is peaceful and relaxing. The owners Duncan and Rhona have thought of everything you might need and made it a perfect base for visiting relations, seeing the... More

We had to travel to Ireland at short notice for a family emergency and only needed a two night stay. With a little baby we wanted somewhere I could prepare her meals etc. Found Darley Cottage on internet. Duncan was so accommodating to allow us a two night stay (not the usual week as most cottages would expect you pay... More

DARLEY COTTAGE A quick trip to Ireland took us to the town of Carrickmacross where our gg grandmother was born in 1835. Apart from being the friendliest town we visited in our six weeks in the UK & Ireland, it also provided nearby Darley Cottage which has set new parameters for B&B’s. It is said ‘if you want something done,... More

We spent a brilliant holiday in Ireland at Darley cottage. Great place to stay with children - we had two families with altogether 4 adults and 2 babies/toddlers. Baby cots and a high-chair are provided, and overall the cottage is very well equipped (washing machine and tumble dryer, large living room, separate kitchen, showers in each of the rooms just...
