Good, clean, and pleasant. Just what the weary traveler needs to rest. Within walking distance of a great pub for dinner and stroll. Our room was clean, pleasant and above all, comfortable sleeping arrangements. Peter was a very nice host, the breakfast was great, the atmosphere like home. Never expected such a cozy place just off the main route.

Not fancy but a good, clean, basic place to stay that is quiet and off the main drag. We were well welcomed and our room was very sufficient for our needs. Peter freely offered information about the area and answered our many questions. Navan was nice for an after dinner stroll and many attractions were easily reached from Ash Cottage.

The location of this b&b is very good for sight seeing, and for us was a very convenient stop as we got close to Dublin and the end of our trip. Peter was very good to us, making us tea in the common area, and drawing maps of where we should go. He also took the time to help us... More

We stayed here two nights in the "family" room. It was a large room with two twin beds, a double bed, and a bathroom with shower. Everything was spotlessly clean. Ash Cottage is located on a very quiet side street off the main road, so you could leave a window cracked open at night without being subjected to road noises.... More

If, for example, you are annoyed by having dozens of cushions on the bed and not knowing what to do with them all, then Ash Cottage is right for you. It's a house that feels like a home, practical, nothing glossy and excessive (like cushions, gold plated taps etc), all the things you need (TV, wifi, breakfast and books) and... More

We are very happy that you enjoyed your stay, your visits locally and found the B&B comfortable. We find that people prefer to be served breakfast, rather than helping themselves. Best Regards. Peter & Nora. More

Ash cottage was our first B&B on a 16 day trip and we decided to stay the last 2 nights as well. Wonderful hosts, great sense of humor, best map drawer! The rooms are very well appointed, spacious and what mattered most to us, no traffic noise!! We could walk to several places for food at night. Peter and Nora... More

We booked Ash Cottage for 7ppl on 15.06.13 as we were going to the Bon Jovi concert at Slane Castle. On arrival while carrying in our luggage Peter noticed us carrying some beer as we had planned for a couple of drinks before going to the concert. We asked for some ice which was no problem as peter gave us... More

When I noticed a lot of beer being carried into the B&B I assumed it was for the concert.I asked for no partying in the rooms.I gave ice as you wanted a quick drink before going out.Despite asking you several times you continued to ignore us.I knocked on the door but with the music playing you did not hear so... Peter and Nora were the perfect hosts. We had a wonderful stay, the rooms were spotless and extremely comfortable. Beautiful setting and nothing was too much trouble. Keeping it simple. Here you go. The Good: 1.) Clean and comfortable. 2.) Location good with easy access to Trim, Slain and Navan. Just Okay: 1.) The hosts were just okay. While Peter was nice and drew us maps, it always felt his interactions were half hearted. His wife I couldn't even understand and saw 2x during our 2 day... More

Convenient location - short drive from Dublin Airport and close to the sites we wanted to visit. Rooms were lovely and hosts were very gracious. Best traditional Irish breakfast we had on our 24 day trip!
