I stayed with my family just one week ago in the west wing of the hotel. I had heard some good reviews from people and wanted to check it out. I was to say the least extremely disappointed. Our room was extremely dirty, the floors and walls were extremely grotty. The bathroom was ok but all in all it needed... More

We stayed in Bellinter for 3 nights for my sister-in-law's wedding and it was one of the best venues I've been to. The main house has that chic boutique style and cozy homey feel which serves amazing food and cocktails. We stayed in one of the rooms at the Ruins near the Bathhouse (spa), and we loved it. The copper... More

Grand old house, vaulted ceilings in Eden dining-room, great food, superb staff, bedrooms well presented. Needs basic upkeep here and there (would be draughty in winter) Bose speakers out of kilter on TV (dodgy sound) Forgave all the minor points as visit was overall success.

Stayed over night whilst attending a wedding with my husband, the house itself whilst tired in places really is a stunning piece of architecture. The receptionist was lovely and welcoming, she brought us personally to our room which was in one of the wings off the main house. Our room was very bright and spacious, the bed was large and... So glad we weren't put off by the few lesser reviews of Bellinter House, we had an absolutely fantastic break here. Let's get something straight first: this is an original 250 year-old mansion with many, indeed the majority, of its period features retained within the original structure. So if you're looking for a newly-built 'bed warehouse' with perfectly level skirting... More

Recently stayed in Bellinter House for 2 nights in the main house rooms. Had such a relaxing break and enjoyed the chilled out atmosphere. The room was quiet and comfortable and the bathroom was large and quaint. We had dinner in the drawing room on the first night and the Eden restaurant the second. Both meals were tasty and the... Unfortunately there are few things to recommend this hotel. Rooms are bare, bathrooms grubby and leisure facilities down-right unsanitary. Stay at the Station House Hotel instead! When we arrived, we were given a room that looked shabby, dark and ill-kept. We were then moved to a different room that although a slight improvement, still did not come close to the... More

We had an overnight stay with dinner included. It is a lovely house on wonderful grounds. Dinner was satisfactory; I certainly was not wowed by it. The staff were very nice and attentive and could not be faulted. The room was a reasonable size the bed comfortable and bathroom clean. The place is old and wear and tear is inevitable... More

Stayed here for two nights while attending a nearby wedding. At check-in we were allocated a spacious room in the 'lean-to' in the courtyard. A good size room with huge & v. comfortable bed but unfortunately the small things detracted from the overall experience. The room itself was generally grubby and badly maintained - mosaic tiles around the bath missing/falling... More

Hygiene has fallen by the wayside. Sadly not the great place it once was. Too busy concentrating on the "wedding trade" to care about the leisure visitors. Wouldn't be in a hurry to return. What a difference a year makes. I have visited previously and raved about this hotel. From reading other reviews, I feel it's on the slippery slope... More
