Michael and Glynnis are the best hosts we found in our Ireland trip. They are friendly and they helped us to spend very good time in Carlingford. The breakfast is great whit choice of home made jam and bread and also we tried a very good salmon cooked in a delicious orange butter sauce. After one night (and one breakfast!)... More

We stayed here on the last bank holiday weekend to get out of dublin. Was lovely, 10 min walk to the town and plenty of places to eat. Our advice is to check plan your eating out though, the prices are incredibly inflated in the town due to all of the stag and hens here. Next time we go we... More

Carlingford is our favourite holiday destination and this was our fifth visit to Beaufort House. Proprietors, Michael and Glynnis Caine manage Beaufort House to a very high standard. It is consistently evident that the well-being of their guests is most important. Their professional and friendly manner will quickly make you feel settled and "at home." They are the perfect Host... Stayed here in August 2015. The room was pleasantly large with a sea view to the front and hills to the rear. Very, very peaceful and restful. Spotlessly clean. Hosts Michael and Glynnis helpful and friendly and offer a genuine welcome. Breakfast was a real treat with tasty breads, homemade jams, fresh fruit salad and a lovely choice of cooked... More

Thank you for your review. A constant in the lexicon of our reviewers, is the phrase " genuine hospitality and warm welcome", which is at odds with your hurtful comment, "Lacks that genuine feeling". Breakfast time in "Beaufort House" is always accompanied with a selection of Light opera, as enjoyed and frequently commented on, by many of our Tripadvisor reviewers.... More

Lovely place to stay in a great location. Breakfast was excellent and the owners very pleasant. Our room was warm and comfortable. WiFi is the only thing I think could be better. We had a weak signal in room five but Michael did inform us on arrival about this and suggested the strongest signal could be recieved in the reading room.

We enjoyed everything about Beaufort House from the comfortable rooms to the delicious breakfasts. Glynnis and Michael provide attentive hospitality in their elegant setting. The lochside location is quiet and picturesque, and every detail of the house lends a feel of luxury without being stuffy. We were welcomed as if we were their very first guests.

Stayed at Beaufort House last week for 2 nights with 3 hillwalkers. From the moment we arrived we were made feel welcome and at home. We were shown our rooms which were spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated with a great view. We were supplied with everything we needed including a kettle with a good supply of tea and coffee. The... More

Lovely bed and breakfast and lovely host and hostess. We spent two nights at the end of May before walking in the Wicklow mountains. Michael and Gwen were delightful and helpful in every way from dinner suggestions to walking and driving tour suggestions. Trading sailing stories added to the enjoyment of our stay! What a treat!

We booked into Beaufort House after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor and were absolutely delighted with the location , the facilities, the superb breakfasts and the hospitality of Michael and Glynnis in particular. If there is a better guesthouse anywhere in Ireland then we have certainly never found it and if we ever return to the area we shall... More
