Lovely hotel in the heart of carlingford village. A real hidden gem.. Owner/ manager Terry could not do enough and takes the interest to remember his guests names. Lovely new room with power shower and spotlessly clean all over. Would definitely return here.

McKevitt's Carlingford deserves to be congratulated on their excellent, friendly and unobtrusive service at our recent family event in their function room. They carried out every task professionally and with a friendly smile, listening to everything we requested - including the personal touches! In preparation for the evening, they were willing to do anything to help us. The room was... More

The Staff are working as bar staff as well as check-in.. Obv don't have eyes in the back of their heads & we had a wait even tho we could see ourselves in the cameras @ the bar.. The main reason for the low score was the bathroom.. Grim.. Totally outdated & just neglected.. The bathroom door didn't close.. Shower... More

My boyfriend and myself stayed for two nights in this hotel and there isn't anything that we could complain about other than whoever had used the room before us had nuck the remote for the telly. Being from Belfast and staying over the july parades we were concerned about ones at home but the manager did everything he could to... More

While working in Carlingford recently I stayed in McKevitts Village inn, I could not fault it in any way, the rooms were clean spacious and warm, and the food was excellent. The staff in McKevitts were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. My only regret about staying in Mckevitts was that it was winter time, i will defiantly... More

Had to search for staff to check us in.. Was politely told to wait as bar staff member was busy serving food! Felt an inconvenience! Room clean and very central location but on returning to hotel at 11pm with a packed bar crowd, we wanted a nightcap...we had to beg to get in! Very rude bar man told us we... More

What a neat little town! And McKevitts is a great base from which to explore it. Rooms aren't particularly fancy, but they are nice, quiet, clean and centrally located. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Love that you can park your car and do everything on foot. Lots of hiking opportunities, the Heritage Center is a must see, and... More

I stayed at McKevitt's Hotel one night during a recent tour of Northern Ireland and had a rather pleasant visit. Other reviews had decried the club music from both McKevitt's and also the establishment across the street keeping them awake at night, but I stayed on a Thursday night and there was no music from either; I slept well. For... More

Arrived and given key to room 22, went up and small smelly and spartan immediately jumped to mind. Dropped off bags and went for two pints in pj's bar, quick walk round and booked table in magees for 10.15. Went back to room for a nap before dinner and experienced the bed for first time and this was not good,... More
