Entering the Irish Republic after visiting Northern Ireland, we arrived in Carlingford and found Barnavave B&B at the shores of the Lough. Martin immediately made us feel like home. Good accomodation and a wonderful breakfast.

13 girls stayed here in May and all. I can say is bravo😀. The couple who own this b&b are fantastic. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Fabulous breakfast with lots of good banter from the couple!! Thoroughly enjoyable experience. Well done.

We had a wonderful few days in Barnavave. Miriam and Martin were welcoming and attentive. Fabulous organic eggs at breakfast. Beautiful garden to relax in when we were not walking the Cooley mountains

We stayed at Barnave House for a weekend recently and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It offered lovely comfortable accommodation in a beautiful location just a short walk from the village, but perhaps the Barnave's biggest assets are the wonderful proprietors Miriam and Martin who were so hospitable and went to great lengths to ensure we enjoyed our stay. We will... More

Location: a dream overlooking the sea, only a 5 minutes walk from the centre of the small charming fishingvillage of Carlingford. The place: giving a rather 'uncared for' and messy impression. The room was OK but decidedly outdated, damp and scruffy around the edges, but we were tired and just wanted a room for the night, even though the price... More

I am writing a  review on Barnavave B&B although  I didn't actually get to stay here, our party had originally been booked in for 6 rooms for 1 night (6 weeks prior), but it turned out there was a double booking, so only 2 members of our party were able to stay at the B&B and the remaining 8 of us stayed at a rental property nearby organised in part I understand by the B... requested a single room plus breakfast for night of the 26/7/14 on the 30/5/2014. Was informed that no single rooms available that night ---would have to pay price of a double room ---which was quoted as 80 Euro .paid deposit of 20 euro . My expectations were not met . I felt the room offered basic with attached bathroom wooden... More

We stayed here to attend a wedding in the Four Seasons (out of my budget range) and found it to be very nice with great service. The rooms were very clean and the rest of the place was spotless. The lady that runs the B&B got up at 7am on Sunday morning to make tea and toast for us as... More

I stayed in this b&b last weekend, when we arrived one of the rooms we had booked was gone, so three of our friends had to leave and find somewhere else, not only that but the host was not at all apologetic she actually tried to make out it was our fault and shouted over us when we tried to... We have just completed 14 nights in b&bs around Ireland and while overall these premises are quite good and well located the overall experience was the worst for several minor but cumulative reasons. 1 on arrival we were told they had only One room left as they were so busy and it was in a separate building, which we did...
