This is a unique B&B in a very convincing Tudor house in the middle of beautiful Longford countryside. Lovely big bedroom. Patsy was very helpful and attentive, in fact she couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable.

If you are looking for a quiet location and a friendly place to stay in the Irish Midlands; then this is it. I was on a short break visiting friends and family in Longford. The welcome from Pat was warm and friendly. The rooms are very comfortable and the full Irish breakfast was stunning. This is the third time I... More

We wer advised to call when we arrived in town in order to get directions. We called repeatedly with voicemail just telling us they we away; this went on for an hour. No one we asked in town had heard of it. We were so frustrated. Finally, we made contact. This is not a bed and breakfast we would recommend.... More

Had a lovely 2 night stay with Patsy/Patricia. I arrived first where she warmly welcomed me and offered me tea or coffee along with showing me the living room with a fire blazing if I wanted to wait there for my boyfriend to arrive. We were told we were the first guests of the season - usually they open around... More

My friend and I cycled Dublin - Sligo and stopped for the night in this lovely country house. We were greeted very well and a lovely cup of tea and biscuits on the front lawn. We had an early start the following morning but were accommodated with an early breakfast to set us on our way. Great spot, highly recommend... More

This was a wonderful place to spend our first night in Ireland. Beautiful, peaceful, great food, great company - perfect in every way. The rooms are beautiful and it was so interesting to hear the history of the house and to visit with Jimmy and Patsy and their family. You don't want to miss a chance to stay here!

We had a wonderful day at Longford Country House. The beauty and peacefulness of the garden as well as the whole area, including birds waking us up in the morning, were just what we had been looking for for our first night in Ireland. We also enjoyed the opulent breakfast.

Pleasant, easy to find country house. Loved the upstairs southwest corner en suite room with windows on 2 sides that provided perfect air flow. Bathroom and shower were clean, well vented with great water flow. Owner and hostess Patsy provided consistently great breakfasts with full cooked to order Irish breakfast, fresh fruit, yogurt varieties, breads, coffee, tea and juice. Close... More

We stayed for 3 nights and were lucky enough to have the Suite, acres of space to move around and in complete luxury. Patsy was a fantastic host and couldn't be more helpful or friendly if she tried. We could come and go at our leisure and she was always on hand if we needed anything. Very knowledgeable about the... More
